We stayed here for a ‘mini moon’ to have a few days of relaxing, and wow - this place was just perfect. The quiet, serene location meant we could fully unwind. The place was so beautiful done with everything you need. We so appreciated the little gift on arrival & all the extra little touches (s’mores ingredients, outdoor fire, beach towels etc) It’s not often we feel like we need to return to a space but we absolutely will be back!

We enjoyed our stay, it was fit for purpose, a place that was calm and we all felt relaxed and well rested. The views, the sunsets and sunrises were outstanding. This is not a complaint, but the outdoor room did not have power. We were ok with that as there was enough light from the lighting on the deck. Pleas check it out as others may complain. I appreciate that you were more than happy to come to the house, but we did not feel it was necessary. I loved the beautiful flowers, the plants, the tui’s singing and it is quite possible we may have heard a Kiwi. The kitchen was well equipped, it had everything we needed, appreciated the first aid box too. Best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. Thank you.

If you get the chance to book this spot, I highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed. Everything is pretty straight forward, check in was simple and Mark communicates well which makes everything x10 better.

What can I say about this paradise? the pictures certainly will catch your eye more than anything I can say. Anneke was very helpful and friendly and her lovely home was exactly as she described it. Being able to hear the waves crash, and the birds chirping, and seeing all the stars at night were some of my favorite things! It is a great place to stay as a baseball of operations for exploring Northland New Zealand! We hope to be back someday!

The place was neat and really peaceful. we loved the neatness and enjoyed the spa as well. A fantastic place if you just want to relax and getaway from the city. Would highly recommend this place.

Five adults and six children had a wonderful weekend in Mangawhai, using Carolynn's house as our base. There was plenty of space for everyone to find their own corner, both inside and out. The kitchen was big enough for several cooks to work in at once and the dining table was big enough for us to all sit around so mealtimes were a treat, not a chore. Amazing view to the east, including sunrise across water and moonscape sand dunes. The spa at the end of the day was a special treat for our family, as was the large TV screen in the lounge. We missed a few books and board games but everything else was in good supply. Thank you for a special long weekend with my family Carolynn.

Wonderful home with brilliant amenities. While the weather was not great we had plenty to do and lots of wood to stay warm near the fire. Gill was happy to heat the pool out of season if we covered the extra electricity and it really made the stay to have the pool warm. Really appreciated the milk and wine surprise too. Would definitely stay again.

We had an incredible two-day stay at this Airbnb! The place was exceptionally peaceful, clean, and well-maintained, making it a perfect getaway. The location offered serene surroundings, allowing us to relax and unwind completely. Every amenity we needed was provided, and the host’s attention to detail truly made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We all had a lovely time here and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a tranquil escape!

Tonia is a lovely and responsive host. She left detailed and clear instructions for check in and check out. The cabins were as described and the location was peaceful with a beautiful view. We had a wonderful glamping experience and our dogs enjoyed the big and fully fenced outdoor section. Thanks Tonia.

Mick’s place is in a beautiful spot surrounded with nature. If you have a love for interior design, you will love this place as it’s been decorated with so much style. Photos don’t do it justice! Communication was great and we had everything we needed. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting to stay.

Such a great escape from reality! My partner and i thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and used it so much even with the hot weather! The pizza oven on the last night was great and definitely cooks fast! 5 mins or less and it’s done. Checking in was perfect and no issues. Could not get enough of the view! We couldn’t stop staring as it looked like a painting. Will definitely be back!

We had such a lovely time at Linda's place! From the minute we arrived she made us feel right at home, showing us around the cabin, where everything is and answering any questions we had. Super accommodating of us and our 2 year old twins, the cabin is spacious and the outdoor area is a great bonus where we could relax and the kids could run around. The outdoor bath was an absolute hit! Definitely a hidden gem, we will stay here again!
