We had a relaxing stay in a quiet place in front of the sea.We all relaxed in the large living room and kitchen.

We had a very pleasant stay in a great location and a cozy space with everything we needed! From the time of booking to check-out, they contacted me frequently, and told me about recommended shops, etc., and I was able to stay with peace of mind. We'd love to stay again.

Very characteristic Japanese and style house, the owner is responsive, the house transportation is also very convenient, and the children have a pleasant and relaxing week in Kagoshima.

This is an amazing house directly on the beach. It was by far the best rental of our entire Japan trip. As a matter of fact, it was the best Airbnb rental we have had over the past years. Everything was there with clear instructions. It was much better than the pictures. Ideal for our family of 6 from the Netherlands. Highly recommended! It is only a few steps to an unspoiled sand beach, surrounded by a beautiful rocky landscape. It’s a short 10 minute drive to an excellent Onsen, and within an hour there are many things to do and see (for example, the Samurai Armor factory, Samurai residences, a Satsuma pottery village, Japanese gardens, etc.) as well as some great restaurants and stores. The environment is a quiet house, you can see the starry sky and the terrace offers barbecue, but because the location is remote 15 minutes by car to have a small supermarket is beautiful, but the interior has a high and low difference to be careful the house has aromatic scents The owner is very attentive to explain to us the amenities in the house Kindly polite kitchen supplies Overall clean

The South Coast House was great for our 4-night stay. The house is beautiful and was exactly as described. The hosts gave us clear instructions to get there and also helped us get our rental car on the island. It was a lovely stay that was perfect for our break from the busy cities of Japan.

Absolutely stunning space and location. Beautiful views, inspiring interior design, comfortable beds. Lots of helpful amenities including gear available for use such as camping headlamps and snorkel masks. And a wonderfully helpful host who helped us navigate when we were delayed for our car rental pickup. Wish we could have stayed longer. Hoping to return in the future.

Yes, it’s right on the beach. And yes it feels very private as there are only two small hotels around on other sides of the beach. Most busy there were something like 20 people on the whole beach. Nice! The beach is sand with small pebbled and dead coral. So it’s not just a sandy beach like some othear beaches at Amami, even ones very close by car. This was not an issue for us. Snorkelling is great and also easy even for smaller kids as there are no waves and some coral is really very close. We managed even with our youngest 4,5year old kid. House is nice, AC working very good if needed. Nothing to complain about. Communication with the host ok. Snorkelling gear we had some and we rented some at Isola blue cafe 3min by car. There is a parking space for 1 car. Would be happy to stay again. Lots of crabs around the beach and the house.

The sunrise and the view was amazing. I had a comfortable stay!
