Waterfront vacation rentals in Jefferson County

this was a great spot to escape and be immersed in nature. beautiful surroundings and comfortable furnishings. our children loved playing in the front yard and exploring the riverbank.

Morgan’s home was cozy. The kitchen and living room were wonderful gathering spaces. The hot tub was so welcome considering the frosty temperatures! Each night, I LOVED the comfy bedding. A dream.

Such a cute little hidden studio! It’s surrounded by so much greenery, and the lakes sound drowns out the sound of the streets! It truly is an escape from the city, and everything is walkable within 5-10 mins! One of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had!

I never heard a peep from any of the neighbors The C&O entrance is right down the lane a couple hundred yards I would love to stay here for a week, grill steaks, float the Potomac and ride and run on the towpath. And….. The water was delicious!

My husband and I loved our stay here! We came through for a night and really enjoyed this cozy space. My biggest concern was lighting my way to the outhouse after dark, but not only was there a lantern available, the outhouse has electric lights! We had a fantastic dinner at Alma Bea, just up the road, and there are lots of cool shops in the downtown stretch. Would definitely stay here again the next time we come through the area.

This rental is beautiful inside and out. Very relaxing. Just a few things that would be helpful: a heads up on needed firewood and kindling would have been nice. We didn't want to run out to purchase some once we were settled in. Also there were some small ants through out the rental. Not to many in December but probably would be much worse in warm weather. Maybe an exterminator could get rid of them. All in all a very relaxing and peaceful visit. 😊

Cuckoo Chalet was the best place to rest our heads for our trip to Harpers Ferry. It was the perfect spot, close to the history of the town we were so eager to explore; clean, homey, and comfortable. If I head back to Harpers Ferry, I’ll be hoping to stay at the Cuckoo Chalet. :)

Beautiful surroundings and very quiet in winter! This was the perfect setting for our cozy family getaway. The infrared heaters on the porch went over very well with my partner who spent a good portion of the time bundled up and sitting out there. I thought there was a dock based on the photos but it seems to have been removed, not sure if it was for the season or permanently. Regardless, this seemed like it would be a good place to take a little dip if you don’t mind proximity to neighbors. The interiors is nice, and well laid out. The throw pillows and couch are a little shabby looking but no holes or sagging or anything. There isn’t much space for storing extra stuff - we found ourselves wishing for a coatrack and storing a few things on the floor. Also the host isn’t kidding when they say the bedroom walls are paper thin - I missed that the third bedroom is an open air loft and there are at least one or two places where you can see through the paneling over the doors downstairs.

Pam was so warm and though we got there late at night she made sure it was well lit and we had no issues finding our way to us it felt like we were staying with family.We did see neighbors but that was no issue with us they were polite and friendly you see people but not an issue.Ourkids loved the trampoline and swing along with the hill climbing up it and rolling down was exciting to them def recommend
