Vacation rentals with lake access in Jackson County

So happy at Todd and Barbie's always! We work in the area and stay there every chance we get. It's clean and private, roomy and comfortable. If possible, I'd give it 10 stars. Also, they went to a lot of trouble to decorate the house for Christmas, including a tree! They're so thoughtful and the decorations raised our spirits! Thanks as always, Todd and Barbie!

Great host, amazing place. Would love to make it my own but not quite there yet. Pet friendly and great area to walk dogs out front that is well lit. Quiet neighborhood and beautiful views. Super close to back entrance of Western Carolina University, our daughter loved the downstairs section because she said it felt like her own apartment. Shower gets hot quick and stays hot for long time.

The cabin had everything you could possibly need for a fantastic mountain getaway. Kerry’s instructions were clear and spot on, and his communication was always quick and to the point—never overbearing. It was an amazing place, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to visit the Cashiers, NC area!

Jessica's home was very cute and cozy, great for a girls weekend with 4 people. It was nice that it had a bit more of a vintage / curated vibe, not the standard mountain log cabin feel. It was about 5 minutes to downtown Highlands which was lovely. I frequent North Georgia / mountains, and this home did have a tricky driveway upon first glance. Our group had 3 cars, and since it seemed quite steep, we initially tried to do multiple point turns to face forward and avoid backing down. I would strongly *not* recommend this. It was way more trouble than it was worth, as the driveway is a bit too tight to do this with 3 cars and it had some interesting angles. Backing down was significantly easier and not scary at all. Jessica provides very detailed instructions on how to enter and exit the property for the best angles, so just follow those and you'll be fine.

We absolutely love this place. This is our second family trip to cut down our Christmas Tree and everything was just as magnificent this time as it was the first! We cannot wait to visit again next year! Things that really stand out: the beds are super comfy, the kitchen is very well stocked, the location is great for exploring Highlands and Cashiers, and the view from the primary bedroom is the most peaceful place on earth! Coffee mornings in bed are a MUST! Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful, secluded location. Perfect ti get away from it all. Make sure you bring anything you need with you, the closest town is 25 min away. Great hiking nearby.

We had a family reunion with 11 adults and 5 children staying for two nights and 4 locals visiting on Saturday. Everyone loved the house and location. The only downside was the main level only seats 4 people for dinner so our group was split for dining, carrying food downstairs. We knew this from the description and photos so there were no complaints.

Great location - a very short walk to the lakeside trail. We had everything we needed for our weekend stay. Alice and Philip were very responsive.

Heather's place was one of the best Airbnb that I have ever vacation at.. Heather was so responsive before I even checked in her place she was very communicative. The place look just like the pictures the cleanliness is off the chain I have never said in any Airbnb as clean as Heather's place.. she had everything really really didn't need anything but what we was going to cook with because she had everything you could use for as coffee pods, aluminum foil, very sturdy cookware, she even had popcorn and snacks, (we didn't use any tho) she had everything you could possibly need to help make your stay a Pleasant one. everything was so perfect I didn't have to call her not one time while we were there for nothing everything was A1.. I will definitely be back and I would definitely Recommend her to my friends and family..I give her place a 10 out of 10.. too bad they only give five stars because this one deserves 10 Stars

By far the best airbnb host we’ve ever had super fast to respond to questions and the accommodations were better than described. Beds were absolutely marvelous woke up every morning feeling better than new. This airbnb is a nature lovers dream. Highly recommend Sandy and the unit

We had a lovely stay at Mike and Julie’s place. The house was very well appointed and it was clear that they had thought through all of the little details to make it a great and comfortable place to stay. The view of the lake is just as advertised and wonderful. The little seating area on the covered porch was the perfect spot for a cup of coffee or adult beverage. While you can hear little moments of life upstairs, the spot feels very private and Mike and Julie never encroached on our stay. They were perfectly communicative and I knew if we had any issues at all that they would have jumped in to help. We hope to stay here again in the future.

This is our third stay. We love coming here. Love the house and location. Always pristine clean and quick to respond if anything comes up. Near all our favorite things to do.

We're a family of 4 and this place was perfect for us. We love the Highlands area and have now stayed in a few places between here and Cashiers. if your like us and enjoy the area for food, Snowboarding, and Trout fishing we recommend you staying here as the location is great the home is comfortable with everything you need. We will be staying here again on our next trip up.

Place and the host were amazing! :) Trillium is a special area and this house was special. Jennifer was fantastic and super helpful!

We loved our 8 day stay here. The area is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed walking with our dog through the property and down the road through the neighborhood. The cabin is dog friendly but you would never know it because it was quite clean. Philip and Michelle were wonderful hosts and responded and acted quickly when we let them know the lightbulb in the kitchen had blown. They gave us some great recommendations on places to visit to see some spectacular views and waterfalls. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again!

Bear Lake is beautiful and isolated. Top notch staff, beautiful spaces and good amenities. The house was in fantastic shape and was everything advertised. The back porch is a fantastic place to hang out and enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains on the other side of the lake. A few things to consider - the road to the house is curvy and very steep. Also, cell service is very poor, so make sure to set your GPS and copy a picture with the door code before leaving the service areas.

This was our second stay at Once Upon a Stream and it was just as good as the first! The house is fantastic for large families. It has plenty of space and is very comfortable! Further, Travis is very responsive to questions. We love this location because it’s fast to get into Sapphire, Cashiers, Highlands, and Brevard but also feels incredibly peaceful and tucked away. We will be back!

This was a perfect location and met our needs for a weekend family wedding event. It was super cozy for just my husband and me (plus our dog). We were 5 minutes from Happs for the rehearsal dinner (great food and atmosphere) and 5 minutes from the wedding venue (Chimney Pond Farm). We had the chance to explore some nearby waterfalls (Bridal Veil Fall and Dry Falls) plus experience the nearby Whiteside Mountain Brewery for some great food! If we come back and stay longer than just a few days, we would probably ask Cameron to empty the dresser drawers for extra space for clothing. The drawers are currently storing extra blankets (which I can understand the need in the cold winter months). We never got to meet Cameron’s dog, Oso. Maybe some day. Wonderful weekend stay!

This home was exactly as described. We especially loved the outdoor space!! The location was superb, and the view was beautiful! We would definitely rent this home again!!
