At only a few metres from the shoreline, there aren't many places as close to the water as this! The minimum stay is two nights.

Valtos Cottage

This is a beautiful cottage furnished to a very high standard with spectacular views to Valtos beaches and beyond. The cottage is extremely well equipped with everything needed in the kitchen and throughout the property. We got a lovely surprise on opening the fridge to find a lovely welcome basket inside which was much appreciated. We have just spent a very comfortable and most enjoyable week there. There is ample parking beside the cottage for 2 or more cars. I cannot stress enough what a wonderful location this is for Valtos cottage. Although it is quite remote, there is easy access to several beaches less than an hour away and many of the roads are 2 -way. One small point that we weren’t aware of was the cattle grid at the end of the ungated driveway so we just always had to be careful to keep our young spaniel away from it so it wasn’t a problem.

What an amazing place to come and stay! Not sure where to begin with the praise for this place. Hosts were amazing, everyone we met was outstanding and the landscape speaks for itself. We had some strong winds and rain during our stay and in some way that added to our experiences on this trip! 100% recommend.

This house is an absolute gem in a beautiful place down on the shore, with wonderful views. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the space is child-friendly with lots of room to run around and lots of toys to play with. Gill was so easy to deal with and was always quick to respond and was very understanding and accommodating when we were snowed in beyond check-out time on the day of departure, and big thanks to Maureen the housekeeper who lent us the spare key when we locked ourselves out! A really special place. Thank you so much.

Stunning spot on North Uist which we would definitely book again. The cottage was a great space for Christmas as it had a cosy lounge which stayed nice and warm with the fire on with the additional ‘second lounge’ in the conservatory for games and great views! Two bathrooms is perfect for mixed families and the kitchen was super well equipped for making our surf and turf dinner and our Boxing Day roast! Scott was super responsive and helped me source a couple of lobsters too! Really nice chap and great cottage!

This house is an incredible value. Staying in a fully equipped home that was so comfortable made our trip to Lewis so relaxed. I wish this was our vacation property! The dining room especially is a star: the view out of the picture window is like a living painting. The location is relaxing and gorgeous. Lots of space. Perfect for a family or group. Well appointed and wonderful.
