Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Islay

Donald and Rosemary were fantastic hosts. Very kind, accommodating, and breakfast was perfect. We would absolutely return again and will be recommending to anyone we know traveling through.

Fiona is the best! Friendly, flexible and helped us get to the right places and even booked restaurants for us! A great place with everything you’d want in a stay! And 2 friendly pups and a cat!! Will definitely come back! Thank you!

Fiona is a fantastic host, and she cooked us an excellent breakfast! She made sure we had everything we needed and more. She made us dinner reservations and gave us recommendations of things to do throughout the day. We are looking forward to our next trip and plan to stay with Fiona! I highly recommend!

Fiona is a national treasure. She took exceptional care of us, it felt like we were family. I'm terrible at planning and she made sure we had dinner reservations, transportation (Andrew of Bruichladdich taxi was exceptional as well) and the breakfasts she made were fantastic. You weren't left hungry. Her house is amazing. Looking out over that garden and into the water was stunning. Just what we needed, couldn't have asked for a better start to our honeymoon. Absolutely above and beyond. Thank you Fiona!

Perfect location, the little house had everything and more you need to make your stay comfortable. Plenty of room, full stocked kitchen with a washing machine if needed - we didn’t as the weather was wonderful so no wet or dirty clothes! Large bathroom and the amenity kit was a lovely extra. Breakfast every morning had a great choice and plenty to set us up for full days exploring the wonderful island of Islay.

Thanks for a wonderfully warm welcome at such short notice! I had a great night’s sleep, brilliant sunshine to wake up to & a superb breakfast. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you so much both!

We had a wonderful stay at Winterton. Adrian and Stephanie were excellent hosts, extremely welcoming and looked after us really well. Our room was beautiful with great views and a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of hot and cold options. Stephanie cooked a special meal for us one evening which was excellent. Adrian had a wonderful knowledge of the area and gave us lots of suggestions for places to visit each day. They both were excellent hosts and couldn't do enough for us, whilst giving us plenty of space to relax and unwind. There were a few good eateries including the Horseshoe Bar in Kilmichael, great pub food! and Tayvallich Inn, where we had a fantastic meal. Finally the Smiddy did the best Cullen skunk we have tasted for a long time.
