Beachfront vacation rentals in Islay

We had a wonderful stay on Davaar island. The cabin is on the edge of the most beautiful view of the sea and we saw otters, seals, mink and dolphins from the beach just below. So special and memorable. Lots to do, we climbed the trig point, walked round the island coastline and explored the caves, paddle boarded across the bay, swam, had a campfire at sunset. Just perfect. The cabin is comfy and luxurious. Ned and Toni are the best hosts. Thank you 🙏🏻

Had a lovely stay. House was perfect for us. Very spacious. Great wood burning stove with plenty of wood. Great location to walk to the Boathouse for dinner or to the lovely gardens at Achamore House.

We stayed here over a weekend while attending a wedding at Crear. In the run-up to our stay, Pam was brilliant at communicating with us to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. It is clear she is very knowleadgable about the area and is keen to make sure her guests make the most of their stay there. The accommodation itself is in a stunning location and had a good range of amenities. Would recommend as a great base to explore the wider area.

This was a particularly good airbnb. Clean, plenty of room, well equipped, and absolutely fabulous position. Right on the seafront with views across the bay and endless entertainment just watching the weather change almost every hour! Not far to RSPB Loch Gruinart which was our main destination for the week to watch the birds.

Cross House West is a lovely cottage in a super location for exploring all parts of Islay. It also has easy access to a beach for those stay local moments. The kitchen was clean and tidy and was well equipped with most things - it had an easy to use dish washer and washing machine. It had a comfortable lounge area and although we did not use it an additional upstairs room - probably perfect for kids. The bedrooms were clean, tidy and of a good size. ( one suggested improvement would be to replace the downstairs bed. The couple that used it found it too soft and the frame was squeaky - one ended up on the spare single mattress ) The two bathrooms were also clean and tidy and both had super showers. Iain kindly supplied a welcome drink ( thanks Iain ) and there were stocks of tea bags, coffee and spices to help at the start. If you have not been to Islay please go as it is a wonderful place to visit. Iain’s cottage makes a super base for any visit and is recommended.

A fantastic place to stay. The house is gorgeous, you have amazing views of the bay, and it's a wonderful property, especially for big groups and families. I couldn't highly recommend this place enough!!!

A very comfortable and well appointed house. The photos on the listing do not do justice to how lovely the house is. The views over the harbour and sea are outstanding. Highly recommended for a quiet, away from it all, break.

This is one of the most special and unique airbnbs I've ever stayed in. Drinking tea by the window in the morning looking over the beach and all the sea birds was absolutely beautiful. We had a nice enough weather the day we checked out we could see Ireland across the bay, in the distance. It's a very peaceful place to watch the wildlife or take a walk in nature. We saw a hedge hog walking around coming home one night! The place is walking distance to the Dunaverty golf club where you can get a bite for breakfast and lunch, even if you aren't golfing. The space indoors is very comfortable and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Donnie was super responsive to messages and very friendly- I really enjoyed our chats. My only regret is that, due to some weather related travel logistics that delayed us, we only got to stay here one night instead of two. I hope we get to come back!

Wow! Islay is a beautiful part of Scotland and we definitely chose the right AirBnb for it. We found it was somewhat in the middle of the island and explored from it each day. Waking up and looking over the water from every window was amazing. I couldn't stop staring out at the wonderful view. Such a fabulous location to have an AirBnb. Very short walk along to a white sandy beach where we saw a few seals. The home itself was lovely, no clutter, just exactly what was needed. The rooms are spacious and it's great to have two lovely modern bathrooms considering the house can host around 7 guests. We had the wood burner on in the livingroom which was lovely and cosy! We had everything we needed in the kitchen too. Would be back 100%, I miss that view over the water!

Beautiful place to stay in the beautiful Islay, surrounded by nature and close to the Sea. Exactly what we were looking for!

A simply incredible place. A historic building renovated to be comfortable and clean with all the modern conveniences. Views of Ireland and nearby islands, sandy beaches with seals, otters, seabirds and a beautiful golf course right next door. Donald is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He carried our suitcases in for us, gave great local recommendations and even introduced me to a genealogical expert who in turn put me in touch with a distant relative. We truly hope to be able to return to this special place again one day.
