We have just spent a couple of wonderful days walking up penyghent. Moira's cottage was wonderful. Really clean and cosy and stocked with everything we needed. The walk up to pen-y-ghent starts literally right outside the doorstep which is very handy and a comfortable bed is exactly what we needed after the long walk. Thank you Mouira for your hospitality.

We stayed at the property for a family mini break. The cottage was excellent, upon arrival we found thoughtful gifts which made our stay that little bit more special. We really appreciated the outside extra long dog lead which allowed our pooch to wander around the patio/ garden whilst we were in the hot tub. We would highly recommend the cottage, It's a comfortable property with everything you need for a relaxing break, it has beautiful surroundings with amazing views. Sarah was fantastic and responded very quickly and is a great host. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you

What a stunning little cottage. Great space for me, hubby and our dog. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and more. It was very comfortable and cosy and the attention to detail is amazing. The welcome basket was an added bonus and very much appreciated. It was just a 5 minute walk into the centre of Bedale and it has everything you need.

What an idyllic cottage and location! Just like the photos and as peaceful as we had hoped. The views from every window are beautiful. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden, the walks, Druids Temple, How Stean Gorge Cafe and The Crown in Lofthouse and then the cosy fire in the evenings. Hamper with snacks, cereal etc and basic supplies were much appreciated! Nice touches such as daffodils on the dining table made it feel lovely and homely. Beds were really comfy and generally the cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. Hoping we can visit again one day!

Tamara was an extremely helpful and kind host. We arrived to the beautiful Lavender Cottage and felt right at home. A nice packet of biscuits set by the kettle was a nice welcome treat :) The cottage is quiet and comfortable and well equipped. Our dog loved the paved area to relax in in the evenings after long walks in the surrounding areas. It was warm, spacious, comfortable and the magical resident tawny owl hooted us to sleep. We would love to return. We can’t thank you enough :)
