Just what we needed for a fantastic week in the Peaks, near to so many lovely walks as well as being warm, very clean and well equipped. Extremely good communication from the host before our arrival - including lots of information about the area. Really appreciated all the touches provided to make our stay a home from home, including fresh ground coffee and shower gel. Thank you so much!

This cottage was perfect for us - 2 couples with small children. Louise gave us loads of information before we arrived, and her husband greeted us shortly after we arrived. It was such an easy stay with small children, we had everything we needed, and the stair gate made life so easy! There were lots of lovely touches like providing snacks, coffee and jams. And Louise even provided some glasses for the solar eclipse!! The surroundings are really peaceful and the kids loved the 2 Shetland ponies in the field opposite. There are lots of options for walks from the cottage, or a short drive away. The Black Lion pub did a great roast dinner. I found there was so much thought put into the stay and Louise was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Our short stay at Fox Cottage was amazing. The property is beautiful, spotless and comfortable. The views are spectacular! Andrew was a great host, very responsive and helpful and we really appreciated the very kind welcome hamper! Loads to do and see and there were even toys for our young son to play with! We loved it so much we’ve booked for next year!

Had a great stay at The Alders there were 6 of us . Had space for both cars… soo close to Alton Towers- we stayed for our daughters 16th Birthday… we grabbed a take out in Cheadle and went to the BullsHead inn a couple of minutes walk from the accommodation- would definitely recommend a stay here

A beautiful cottage, with a charming layout, making the most of the fantastic views. We could have sat watching the views for hours and were only sorry we didn't have more time to enjoy the terrace! It was well appointed and felt very homely. We loved how convenient it was for walking into Matlock Bath (only 5 minutes) with its fish and chip shops, ice cream parlours, amusements and lovely riverside walk and 2 play parks. What a great location for us as a family and it was very handy to be able to leave the car at the house and walk to the cable cars for the Heights of Abraham. We appreciated the milk and tin of chocolate biscuits. One tip for anyone who visits is to park at the top of the house, and not take the car around to the front of the house to save having to reverse up the steep hill as the road at the bottom has now been cordoned off. Thank you for sharing your property. We really enjoyed our stay!

What a lovely little cottage, very clean and tidy and well stocked with everything you need in a home away from home. Little touches like the forget me not box and honesty box with holiday essentials should you forget anything (which we did!) was welcomed. Check in and out couldn’t have been easier and the shortbread biacuits and bottle of fizz was a nice touch Beautiful walks literally on the doorstep and easy access to the Tissington trail make this cottage a great place to stay in the Peaks.

Overall it was fantastic and would recommend staying here for the immediate surroundings. We had fantastic weather for April so we could sit out on the patio and enjoy the view and the kids enjoyed the garden which was big enough to play football and rounders in. The only nitpick we had were the towels provided were very hard and scratchy and after using a lovely bath or shower the towels were not nice to use. So maybe bring your own in case they are not replaced soon. Although this did not affect us as the weather was great. If it did rain a lot and you were stuck in the downstairs lounge or dining area has no view of the lovely lake you can see from outside. There are views from upstairs main bedroom windows though.

Beautiful place, was the perfect escape from the city for the weekend. Pip explained everything accurately and thoroughly and provided us with some logs for the fire which was great fun. The hut was beautiful and had everything we needed. The bath outside was perfect for a cold evening. Thanks Pip we had a great time!

Totally faultless. Everything you need and more. Every extra touch provided - including very generous welcome hamper and Easter tasteful decorations. Everything for a pet, or a picnic, staying in or going out. Modern technology including iMac, WiFi and sky. Nothing missing from the kitchen for any cook. Bedrooms and bathrooms (linen, towels, robes, toiletries) had the feel of a five star hotel. Charming hosts. I could go on. I had high expectations as is rated 10, but we were all astounded at how incredibly tasteful and well equipped it was, and to a high decorative standard. Thank you.

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay and were blessed with the most beautiful weather. The location of the cottage was ideal and the lounge and garden enjoy spectacular views over the valley and hills. The accommodation makes maximum use of the space and is functional and extremely comfortable. There was plenty of room for our party of 4 adults and the convenience of shops, pubs and cafes only minutes walk away made the location ideal. Parking outside the cottage was a little tricky and we were happy to use the car park at the top of the village, only a few minutes walk away. The suggested rates are minimal and can be paid online or via an honesty box.

Decorated beautifully throughout with cosy log burner for colder evenings! Barbara met us at the property and was very welcoming and provided some great info on local walks, pubs and also provided some tasty flapjacks! My family had a very lovely stay at the apartment. Melissa was very responsive and accommodating to our requests. The apartment was the perfect size for my family of 5, cozy and beautifully furnished. The apartment is located in a nice part of Altrincham. The fact that it is a gated compound was a huge plus for us in terms of safety considerations. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip back to visit our family! Thank you Melissa for being such a wonderful host.

Booth Farm was beautiful and in a lovely quiet setting (not easy to find so I would use the suggestion of what three words. Duncan went over and above with helping us choose bedrooms for our children and always really responsive. The cottage was stunning, lovely bedrooms, comfy beds and we especially loved the roll top baths. The guidebook has everything we needed to check in so it was really simple, we also liked the recommendations for days out and food. The local Italian was lovely. Our stay in the Damson Pod with Sarah and family was perfect. The pod itself was lovely, beautifully clean and had all the amenities we needed. The view from the full glass front was spectacular and could be enjoyed while sitting in bed or on the outside seating areas. The land surrounding the pods was beautifully maintained and had space for sitting, BBQ's and a lovely dedicated space for the children to play with the provided toys. One evening we met Sarah in the adjoining field and had the opportunity to feed the Alpacas. We were kept well informed of the arrangements and details for arrival. We very much enjoyed our stay and have already recommended it to friends.

Our stay at Bridget's cottage was perfect. From excellent directions and check in, to a very comfortable bed and great facilities - we had a very relaxing Easter weekend. The cottage is very well appointed with a great kitchen we could cook in - with essentials provided. Easy walking distance to the village which is beautiful. The hens and Sam (dog) were super and the treats were appreciated! We would love to stay again :-)

An amazing few days away, the cottage nice and warm, spotlessly clean,tranquil and the tonic we both needed, the EV charger a winner, made it so easy as we got back each night to charge, beautiful location with great onsite amenities, a little community and close to all the places we wanted to visit, Bakewell, Ashbourne, Matlock, Chatsworth - kitchen had all the mod-cons and although we didn’t use the honesty shop, well stocked for the items you’ve forgot - a big thankyou, hope to return, next time we’ll have more time to climb the mountain !

Our stay was very comfortable; the house was roomy, spotlessly clean and well presented. The location was fabulous and only a stones throw from some of the popular walks in the area. We would stay there again. Car parking is on the street and the village was very busy when we stayed, so we had to leave the cars a hundred meters, or so, from the house. However, it felt safe enough to leave the cars out of sight.

The cabin was just as described and our two boys loved waking up and just watching the animals (as did our dog). Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing (hot tub was again a big hit with the kids) break while there are also beautiful walks and things to do close by.
