We had a wonderful stay! The host was amazing! The house is beautiful! We would love to stay here again.

Great place for larger group. We were in town for track activities at VIR and this was a great place to come back to and unwind.

This house is an amazing undertaking. When you read the history of this home, it is obvious, it requires a special person, a lover of history and restoration, to take on a project like this. While staying at the property, Taylore was in constant contact with my family as we prepared for our daughter's wedding in Danville, VA. We were amazed at the original features, she (Taylore) has been able to preserve in a mansion of this size. We appreciated the newer accessories in the kitchen, etc... and really enjoyed the large dining areas to congregate and talk! We look forward to renting again!

Yuan was an amazing host super accommodating with my last-minute booking after our original plans fell through. After a quick conversation, he had no problem with us bringing pets, which was a huge relief. The home was clean, in a quiet, lovely neighborhood, and bonus there’s a pool! Highly recommend.

We had an awesome time at Marks Place. This is our first time to visit Hyco lake and can’t wait to return. This house is absolutely stunning and so comfortable. Most of our family never left the house for the entire week. The lake and pool was beautiful. We could not believe how peaceful the location is and the surrounding areas. We were the only people in our cove for the entire week. We can’t wait to rent this place again, thanks for sharing your home with us

Shameka's place was great! Exactly what we needed..the kids really enjoyed the pool ! Location was pretty nice ..lol we didnt hear a peep out of the neighbors!! House was very clean and well kept! I would definitely return back to it and also would like to recommend it to anyone!!!

Our family loved our stay! By far one of our favorite places we have visited. Clean, clutter free and plenty of things to do for all! Kids absolutely loved the pool, fishing and kayaking in the lake and searching for all the little frogs! It is one of those places that you can visit with the family and never have to leave to do anything else! Highly recommend! We will be returning next year! Thanks for hosting us!

This home worked out great for our recent MTB race at Angler’s Park. Comfortable beds and living space. Clean cookware was available for cooking in. Only wish we were there during pool season!

Spacious house with all the amenities needed. Everything was clean and tidy. We didn't spend much time in the house because we were at a sporting event, but it was a nice place to return to in the evening. Karri was accommodating for one of our athletes that had an earlier arrival than the rest of the group. Overall a great home in a great location.

We absolutely adored this house during our stay! House had everything we needed to make a comfortable stay. Coffee station is stocked, and just about everything you may need to cook/grill a nice meal (lots of spices in the drawer ;)). Bathrooms and bedrooms had all the essentials and very clean! This home has a lot of different hangout spots that made us feel like there was never a dull moment. Screened in porch was perfect for rainy hours, or the front deck was great for morning coffee, record player filled the house with music and boat deck on the water for a different view of the house and lake. (Definitely inquire about boat rental!) Secluded but not far at all from town. Our hosts Taylor & Dylan provided phenomenal service! Above and beyond I would say, to every detail on checking in and finding the place - to nearby recommendations - details on checkout - and sending a message throughout the entire experience to know if things are going well. 10/10 would recommend!

Peaceful spot on a private road. Neighbors are super quiet. the hosts are very responsive. In the house was super clean and spacious.

We use this for our pastors annual retreat and it provided plenty of room for them to gather and also spaces for them to find solitude when necessary and also provide a great community space outside which they really enjoyed

We had a couple stay there that were doing a conference at our church. They were very pleased with the location, amenities, cleanliness and comfort of the house. We look forward to using this host for future events at our church.

Although the entrance of the home initially threw me off with its vintage decor, I appreciate the owner’s vision in preserving its authenticity while incorporating modern updates throughout. The home itself was lovely—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. While I didn’t have time to relax on the deck or lower patio, they added a serene and peaceful touch to the overall experience. Overall, it was a great stay, blending character with comfort!

We had a great time at Landon’s house in Danville! Everything was exactly as advertised in the listing. He was extremely responsive when I had a question. We greatly appreciated the binder he put together with information on recommended activities and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again!

Allison and Michael were wonderful hosts, accommodating a last-minute request for a month-long stay. The accommodations were quaint, kitschy, and fun. Nice big backyard to watch birds and look at the woods or play yard games. The historic Glencoe Textile Mill neighborhood is populated by friendly people, borders the Haw River with scads of walking trails, and is quite serene. Highly recommend.

Home was beautiful off of a quiet country road. The home comes with coffee pods for the coffee machine, she supplies some laundry detergent and plenty of towels. Also has a baby gate for the stairs and a baby high chair and pack n play thought to be pretty amazing for families. Beds are full and comfy. I rented to work for the week local and coming home to this home I literally felt like I was coming home to my own house every night. Marcia is pretty amazing she will communicate with you very nicely and help any way she can. Absolutely recommend her and her home. I have many many more jobs to do in that area this summer and will definitely be using her home as my stay

Great house! If you have a big group, 2 bunkbeds on the lower level, King size bed on lower level, both share one bathroom. Queen size bed on main level with its own bathroom. Property is gorgeous, just a hair too far for me to VIR. But on a positive note got to see some great country side going back and forth. Wish it had been warmer and not rainy to hang out on the porch or take advantage of fire pit. Host was proactive with check in and out information, no issues at all....great property a little tight in the kitchen for a large group of people but we figured it out...Thank you so much for giving us a warm, dry, and clean place to stay.

Katie’s house was beautifully decorated and very friendly. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and the tech - from the tvs to the coffee machines - was modern and efficient. I personally appreciated the selection of tea and electric kettle. I could tell there was a lot of thought that went into every detail of this house and I would definitely stay here again.

This is our second time staying at this home, and it is peaceful and beautiful. The decor screams peace, joy, and love. You can tell that it is a house built on love. We enjoyed every bit of our stay. It was clean, spacious, and quiet. Tiara is a great host. She is very responsive and personable. We will most definitely book this house again.
