We have family with a house in the neighborhood but wanted our own place to retreat to and boy was Kimberly’s place a perfect retreat! We loved being steps from a private beach and having a back deck and balcony to enjoy- especially with the ocean breezes! The kitchen had everything we needed. The couches and beds were comfy and the mini splits kept the house just the right temperature. Loved the outdoor shower, too. I think we used almost every space at the house! Definitely planning a return trip.

This is a cozy cottage located at the end of a dead end road just steps away from the beach. With only one other cottage between you and the beach it was nice to not have to pack a lot of supplies for a beach day. The beach was nestled between 2 other private beaches and was very clean and not rocky.

While the weather did not cooperate (it rained the entire time) the cottage and views made up for the weather. From the table to the couch the views are wonderful. The cottage is very well stocked from towels and blankets to the kitchen. We did not need anything that wasn't supplied. The bathroom is small but functional. The shower might not work well for a larger person. The neighborhood is quiet and feels very safe and peaceful. We enjoyed our long weekend and would book this cottage again.

If you have the chance to stay here, take it! It’s perfect for a couple or solo traveler—perfect location, super friendly and helpful hosts, gorgeous views (especially sunrises over the water), lots to do, or just chill on the porch or inside by the fireplace and watch the harbor and the ferries come and go. Besides the location and the views, the interior is wonderful—well-appointed, beautiful kitchen/living area, the most comfortable bed, and a fabulous shower. And your own parking spot right across from the Black Dog Tavern! It’s a really special place on a special island. I can’t say enough good things about Mike and this fabulous waterfront cottage in the heart of Vineyard Haven.

We had a great week as a family in Cape Cod. The house was perfect for our family of five and provided a really nice home base each day. The beach was about a 5 minute walk straight down the road and the supplied beach chairs, wagon and umbrella were perfect. We were able to pick up groceries from the local Stop & Shop on our way into Sandwich and cooked at the house multiple times which had plenty of cookware for our needs, including the outside grill. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely consider staying again.
