Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Houghton County

Freshly remodeled house with tons of space! Clean rooms, bed, and bathrooms! Enough parking space for two trucks one with a 2 place enclosed and one with a 3 place enclosed. Kitchen was huge and open! Upstairs bedrooms with more than enough space and a big open bathroom! Can’t wait to come back again, walking distance to a few restaurants for dinner after a long day on the trails 10 out of 10!

The accommodations were as described. The place was very well kept and clean. The large room upstairs over looking Portage Lake is beautiful. I would highly recommend. Hope to return next year

I loved her cozy Airbnb! Felt like I was home 🏡 but a lot colder and way more snow 😊. Very very clean and had everything we needed to cook meals which is not always the case. PLENTY of sleeping room. It was just my daughter and I but wanted to check it out for the summer time and I will try to rent it again for then. Cheryl was super sweet and kind. We had an issue but she was very quick to respond and fix the situation. GREAT host! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

The house was really easy to find and very comfortable. The kids made themselves right at home and there was enough space that the 5 of us weren't right on top of each other all of the time. We were able to find all of the dishes we needed to make and serve dinner easily and had plenty of towels, blankets, etc.

Clean, fair price, quick response times. I would stay here again.

Keith and Julie were engaging hosts and their cabin was peaceful and comfortable. Keith fired up the sauna for me and it was terrific. It reminded me how much I like saunas. I was even greeted by a Pileated Woodpecker and three Bald Eagle sightings. Thank you.

Although this was a very short visit, because our hosts were so responsive and provided valuable information about sightseeing in the area, we were able to maximize our time to devote to the areas we most valued to explore. Tom went out of his way to provide kindling for the fire when we arrived, so that was a totally special feature of this cabin. The back yard was very dark so we could see the Northern Lights the last night of our stay.

Kelly’s place was perfect for a winter visit! It’s about 20 minutes from Mt Bohemia and right across the street from Eagle Harbor Inn, where we enjoyed a meal. The house is spacious and bright, but also cozy. There are great xc ski trails about a mile down the road. The house is very well built, clean, and the beds were comfortable. Kelly was quick to respond when I had a question. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Great location with easy access to beautiful Houghton and its scrappy little cousin Hancock, MI; This was a great weekend getaway. Go up and check out FJ McClain Park for expansive views of Lake Superior then head back to Downtown Houghton’s Social District to imbibe and mingle with fellow revelers. After a long day spent taking in the great Northwoods of Michigans UP, this secluded cabin provides a great respite to unwind and relax after a long day. The full kitchen has every amenity to cook up a big family breakfast or dinner and enough extra blankets and cushions for the everyone to snuggle in with at the end of long day exploring the area. 10/10 recommend! PS: For those of the 🌲🌲🌲persuasion, the cabin is just up the road from an excellent dispensary featuring great local MI product. Just saying.

Quiet, private, amazing location on rice lake. Watched the northern lights and sunrise from the cabin, beach and dock. Great experience!!!

I don't know how someone couldn't give Anne 5 stars! We fell in love with her cabin the moment we pulled up the first time. We loved everything about it. The weather actually was cool and wet but it didn't matter - we enjoyed a little extra time inside the cabin and it was absolutely wonderful. We definitely want to come back - the sounds, sights and smells of being right along Lake Superior in a beautiful, cozy and private cabin nestled in the woods - what more could you ask for. We loved our stay and Anne was a great hose - even leaving a few local favorites for us to savor during our stay. We didn't want to leave and were sad to leave the cabin behind. It was a memory neither one of us will forget. Thank you Anne.
