We stayed for one week in the beautiful Villa Escape near the village Madampe in one of the two houses on the estate named “The Nest”. It’s an awesome place with a lot of nature around, two pools and a very well equipped kitchen. The host was just perfect and very caring. She helped us organize stuff and offered assistance for everything. The housekeeper also was very helpful and caring, although there was a big language barrier - he is a lovely guy. It is a bit away from the city, but this is another plus, because it's quiet and calm. A scooter is recommended (Tipp: there is a scooter rental in Madampe, which isn’t on google maps and probably cheaper then the ones coming from Negombo. Follow the left road at the roundabout in Madampe and you will see it on the right side.) We highly recommend staying at this place if you’re searching for a private and quiet space with a whole house for yourself.

It was a pleasure staying with Bernard for about a month. The apartment lived up to my expectations. Bernard and his wife go above and beyond to make you feel at home and welcome. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place. If you stay here, don't forget to order breakfast – it was absolutely delightful!

We were a group of 13 who booked the entire house for 2 nights. It is a beautiful property with authentic Sri Lankan decor. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, and exactly as described online. We had both dinners and breakfasts at the house, I would highly recommend their Sri Lankan rice and curry meals, which were delicious! They were also happy to prepare an off menu seafood BBQ. The pool was a nice treat in the Kandy heat. There was a team of staff onsite to serve food and drinks and deal with ad hoc requests. Overall a great stay, not the cheapest but it did feel like a more luxury experience and we would certainly consider staying again on future trips.

We were in Sri Lanka for a bachelor's trip and enjoyed our stay here. Sam was responsive and helpful, made sure we had everything we needed. Sandun, the caretaker made our stay great. He was very friendly and helped us with everything, from getting supplies to helping us find good spots nearby. Hector, cooked delicious meals for breakfast and lunch. The food was better than a lot of the restaurants we went to during our trip! The pool and private beach were much appreciated! Some things to keep in mind if you're planning on staying here: - No drinking water at the property. Sandun helped us arrange bottled water, but a filter/RO could be installed. - The third room with the bunk beds can be noisy since it faces a road. May be a concern for light sleepers. - The location is a little isolated and not really close to anything. Not an issue if you have a taxi. Overall, an excellent property served by a friendly, professional team! We would come back!

Wilson was a great host who provided a lovely and clean apartment for our stay. He gave us some great local recommendations and a very thorough induction about the apartment, he even offered to drop us at the train station at the end of our stay. We enjoyed being outside of the busy Main Street of Kandy but still close enough to walk into town - the washing machine is an added bonus!

A villa up in the hills with amazing views and wildlife for breakfast. We had a private driver so easy to get to Kandy and back. Staff were great and welcoming and tasty food for dinner and breakfast.

Erangas place was absolutely beautiful. Located in the mountains not too far away from the hustle and bustle, but not too far either. Their little puppy was the cherry on top too!

We really enjoyed our stay; the place was clean and perfect for arrivals or departures from the airport, making it an ideal spot to start or end a trip in Sri Lanka. It matched its online photos, though the lack of AC was felt, given Sri Lanka's intense heat on us Europeans. Communication through a messaging app was smooth, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming, assisting us especially after the challenge of getting an Uber from the airport, where drivers prefer longer trips, leading to multiple cancellations. Future guests might consider pre-booking a taxi. Despite this, we had a great experience and plan to book again for our departure.
