Waterfront vacation rentals in Homer

I'll get the one knock out of the way: this property is heated by in-floor heating, and it didn't seem like the heat was functioning much at all during the first two days of our four night stay. Fortunately, our visit was at the beginning of October, and we (finally) had some sun once we arrived in Homer. The property gets a lot of direct sunlight, so ambient temperatures were pretty comfortable anyway. Helena was also incredibly responsive when I reached out to her regarding the property's heating. She was kind and understanding, and she said she'd ask her mechanical contractor to take a look. The temperature in the room had begun to seemingly function after the second day, so I don't know if that ever happened. Otherwise, the space was very cozy and is set right across the street from the Homer ADF&G office. Very quick drive to the spit or restaurants/bars in town. We had upstairs neighbors for a couple nights and never heard or saw them. Washer/dryer were clutch before going home!

Great last minute spot that I booked. The view of the lake is beautiful and watching the planes take off and land. Only thing I didn’t account for was how loud these little planes are especially when they’re taking off at 6:30am. If you want to sleep in just keep that in mind. I would stay here again though.

The view from the room was awesome, loved listening to the waves as we slept. Enjoyed our walks on the beach. Room was a good size for us. Also loved the Panini sandwich we got for lunch. Overall, was good spot for our 2 day stay.

This property is beautiful and the home was very clean uncluttered. Our host was helpful, responsive, and made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Ginger was great to work with. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

It was definitely one of our best stays while in Homer. Home was very cozy, peaceful and quaint. Will ve staying here again in the future.

Beautiful home for our family with two babies. It was very comfy and free of clutter for the little ones. The host was very friendly. The house had everything you could need. One thing though is that if you need to use the hose, the host needs to turn it on manually.

What a view!!! Cannot be beat! Connie was very responsive to our questions. The bungalow was spotless, very clean. It was stocked with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and fans in every room. We did t need the fan for our stay, but it was nice to know they were there if we needed. We saw a bald eagle fly by every night. And a bull moose was seen in the yard one morning. Watched him through the kitchen window. Thanks Connie for sharing your place with us. We hope to return again. And if we do, we will definitely stay here!

Our family of 5 and an infant stayed and enjoyed every minute. House is beautiful, view is absolutely stunning, there is a lot to do on the premises and in surrounding area. We spent a lot of time walking beaches and boardwalks of spit area, incredible hiking using the water taxi, caught a lot of fish, and crossed many items off of our list. Even though we didn’t use fire pit, it looks awesome. Home is clean and very well stocked. Connie was great to work with - highly recommend!!

Our stay here was beyond amazing. The home was clean and felt like home, with breathtaking views. Evelynn was responsive, and kind. Close to lots of activities and the strip. I HIGHLY recommend staying at the Moose Caboose, you won’t regret it!

We loved our stay here and would highly recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone considering it! It was cozy and the scenery was breathtaking! The kitchen was well equipped and the freezers were perfect for freezing our catch. It’s close enough to Homer to drive in easily for the shops and food but is great if you want to be away from town.
