Cottage in Heddon-on-the-Wall
4.99 out of 5 average rating, 110 reviews450 alpacas, hot tub & one bed cosy farm cottage!
We had the most wonderful stay on the farm at East Rose Cottage. The cottage is lovely and cozy with amazing views of the chickens, goats and alpacas. The wood-fired hot tub is a great addition to the cottage. The fresh eggs were such a treat and we were kindly given some wine and chocolate upon arrival alongside some carrots to feed the alpacas! Debbie and Paul are fantastic hosts and nothing is an issue for them. We were so lucky to be able to bottle feed the baby alpacas which was an amazing experience. Make sure to book onto the Alpaca walk and talk during your say, this is not to be missed! Such a unique place to stay and easy to access. Very close to local shops and the city while being remote enough to feel away from the busyness of everything, a very peaceful and relaxing location. An absolutely amazing New Years stay.

We had a fab time at Stanley cottage. The accommodation is quirky & every inch of space is effectively used. The hot tub was easy to use & stayed hot for hours. The place was spotless when we arrived & Ben had even left us some milk & bread to get us started. Ben is an extremely responsive host, very friendly & always on hand to help. Before check in I had all the instructions I needed for a great stay. I would definitely recommend Stanley cottage

Amazing from start to finish. Philippa is the perfect host - we stayed with our children and forgot our stroller đ she kindly left us one to use during her stay. Weâve had a lovely short stay. Came for our 1st wedding anniversary child free, this will be our last anniversary as a mum and dad to 2 as we will be celebrating our 3rd baby in July. It was a nice quiet area and lovely surroundings. The cottage had everything youâd need, even down to milk in the fridge for our cuppa when we arrived. Lovely log burner, large smart tv and a nice big bed for comfort! Only one small issue we had was I think that there is maybe a part of someoneâs house up above where we stayed and the floorboards are quite noisy when people walk along them, so did wake me a couple of times - but I am a light sleeper so canât be helped. Had a lovely time regardless.
Cottage in Otterburn

A beautiful place to stay inside and out. The views were breathtaking! Our little dogs loved playing in the garden which was well fenced (even our mischievous Westie couldnât find a way to escape!) The fire was such a nice touch, we loved having fires each day. Wood was supplied if you didnât use the heating which was great! Coming from a city we donât have a fire so happy to not use the heating! Kate was so responsive and really friendly. We even had some fresh eggs from her hens which was so lovely. We were thrilled to see the property in snow on our last night/day it really just rounded off our stay perfectly! If you are thinking about booking..do it! Also the shower is great! (Always something I judge! Haha) Canât wait to rebook!â¤ď¸

We had an amazing stay at Maryâs cottage. The Cottage was super cozy with everything and more that we needed. Lovely and clean with clear instructions and the best bit is the wood fire in the living room. Made the stay extra special. Great if you want lots of peace and quiet and a base to go exploring the surrounding area as we did. Highly recommended and will be staying again in the future.

Cottage in West Thirston
4.96 out of 5 average rating, 26 reviewsDetached cottage near Alnwick and Warkworth
We stayed at Katherine's place as a family of 4 and felt right at home. The kids' especially loved the board game collection and there was more than enough space for us parents to get some quiet time. I'm sure we would also have spent some time in the private garden, if the weather had been a little bit better. Also, the restaurant nearby was sooo delicious!

The Smithy is a wonderful country retreat. This family home has been restored beautifully and has that home -from-home feel as soon as you arrive. We were welcomed not only with a fully-equipped clean and all mod cons place to stay but also a cottage thoughtfully decorated for Christmas by Rhona. It was therefore the perfect destination for us as we visited our family during this festive season. I would definitely recommend this home stay and I do hope we get another chance to stay here. Thank you, Rhona!

We would definitely recommend to stay here! This cosy cottage is the perfect place for some peace. The log burner is well equipped and very warm. James was a great host and made us feel very welcome. He was attentive, happy to help and share advice/ recommendations on the local area which had plenty of walks, places to eat etc. If the sky is clear you will be in for a treat with the sky! đ

Cottage in Reston

We arrived on a cold winters day and were delighted to enter into a lovely and warm house. Catriona left us a few bare essentials which was very thoughtful. Bedding and towels were new and clean. Cottage was very pretty and cosy and was lovingly restored with its original features respected. Although the weather was poor the local countryside looked beautiful with an array of lovely country walks available. Will go again hopefully someday to enjoy the conservatory in the summer. Thank you
