We had a really lovely stay at Margret’s place. It was clean and warm and absolutely beautifully decorated - felt very special. The beds were incredibly comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. There was a lot of space for 4 people - a really relaxing end to our holiday. We had one bright day and two wet cloudy ones. No northern lights sadly but it was fun sitting out in the hot tub under a starry sky. We went for a wonderful family beach ride at Stori Kambur which is just 10 minutes east. In the afternoon we walked to Hellnar along the coast and saw lots of humpback whales. One even breached right out of the water. Take binoculars! Sunset near the light house was gorgeous. Everything is very close by on the peninsula so it was easy to see a lot. On our last morning we drove up to the north coast and took a whale watching tour - we were so lucky to see lots of orcas and another humpback whale. The peninsula is a great place to explore and Margret’s house was a perfect base.

Wonderful stay. Ample space. Beautiful Northern Lights watched from the hot tub! Good driving to Snaefellsnes Peninsula and around Borgarnes. Close to Hraunafossar falls and Krauma for a geothermal soak! Nice stay

Cozy and clean cabin with all the basic essentials. I felt safe and comfortable as a solo traveler. Kitchen is well-stocked with tools needed for cooking. Location is a good launching point to explore the peninsula. Einar is a communicative and responsive host. Thank you!

The photos of the listing almost don’t do justice to how beautiful this place is! I would recommend this place to anyone traveling with family. We had a magical time in this beautiful house. The build of the house, the design and attention to detail is how you would imagine your own vacation home if you are lucky enough to have one! The instructions of the host are important to follow (e.g. shopping in Borganes) and to the point!

The accommodation is spacious, very well equipped. Various games are available for children and board games are also provided. The accommodation is clean and nice. An electrical outlet is also available for those who have an electric vehicle. Finally the views are stunning from the living room, a huge view of the bay.

Beautiful, quiet, and peaceful location surrounded by mountains on one side and the sea on the other. It’s an easy walk down to the Arnarstapi to Hellnar trailhead, which was a highlight of our time there, and a quick drive to all the magical sites Snaefellsness has to offer! Home is clean, well appointed, and beds were super comfortable. Would love to stay again - Snaefellsnes and Vignir’s home has been our favorite in Iceland thus far. Thank you!

The house was beautiful and the views are to die for. Would absolutely stay here again! They were very responsive to all questions we had and even showed our son the horses to pet!

We loved our stay here. The place was easy to find, right at the base of Kirkjufell. It was clean, easy to access and had beautiful views of the water and the mountains. It was also close to town so there were easy access to groceries and restaurants. It had a cabin-like feel and our family loved the hot tub.

This was hands down the nicest, cosiest Airbnb we've stayed at. Anna Maria was friendly and helpful and her house is fantastic - the beds were comfy, the kitchen was fully stocked and then some (the coffee machine was especially fabulous). Our kids enjoyed the puzzles, board games, arts & crafts, movie collection, and space to stretch out and play in the house and yard. You can see the stunning mountains and the sea from the windows and there's tons of beautiful places to see and hike nearby. It was definitely a good idea to buy groceries in Borgarnes on the way to Arnarstapi. We would definitely choose to stay there again!
