Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hokandara

Suresh was an excellent host and very accommodating. I had booked this place for my parents visit to Sri Lanka to visit family. What stood out to me was the location since it made it convenient to visit family. My parents absolutely loved their stay here! The home itself was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was very clean and had a very cozy and modern feel. My parents felt very comfortable and safe during their stay. It was a pleasure communicating with Suresh, he replied promptly to all of my questions and was very flexible with the check in process. Overall, my parents really enjoyed their stay here and would definitely stay here again on their next visit!

My family and I, wanted a place in Colombo for a month. After looking for a long time, we finally found this apartment, which truly exceeded our expectations. The best thing is the property it self which has many facilities such as the gym, pool, supermarket and an ATM. There are many restaurants close by aswell. Overall the experience was great. The only drawback if any I would say is the height of the bed, which is very low to the ground. Other than that fantastic place.

Ranil’s villa is absolutely stunning. Not only is it in a fabulous location right on the most beautiful beach, it is huge with a beautiful internal courtyard garden, spacious rooms and lots of beautiful furniture. It’s really on a completely different scale! The pool is amazing, really big and wonderfully warm. In addition Piyal the villa manager and the team provide an amazing service and experience and Piyal was really super helpful. We would definitely highly recommend this villa and we hope to stay again one day.

this place and location is quite awesome. loved everything about it. a minute walking distance from good restaurants and the beach. really a treasure of a place and excellent value for money.

Mohammed’s place was great value for money. It’s a modern, spacious, and fully furnished apartment. Very convenient access to all supermarkets, and other shops. We got a unit on the second floor which had great views from its balconies. We enjoyed the fireworks display from the balconies when the clock struck 12 on 1st Jan 2022. The kitchen has all utensils needed to cook your own meals. However, we noticed there wasn’t a gas cylinder owing to the current situation in the country. Still managed to cook most of our meals using the rice cooker. A hot plate or an induction cooker would be a nice addition. The building manager Mr. Mirzan was very nice and was flexible with all our requests. He made sure our stay at Amaze Residence was a pleasant one. We will definitely visit again.

Our Host, Asela, is the best Airbnb host that we have had ever since using Airbnb. He is a good communicator and very knowledgeable. He has helped us many times during our stay with him. Adela’s place is super close to the beach and to the main road that goes into the city. Asela has gone above and beyond what is expected of an Airbnb host. Thank you so much Asela for making our stay in Sri Lanka more enjoyable.

Kumar’s place was fabulous. Jaya (house keeper) was such an amazing help, simply made our stay luxurious. Tuan (manager) was very responsive and helped with arranging everything.

Ajith was a kind and welcoming host, going beyond what can be expected. I thoroughly recommend staying at his place, and thank him kindly for his help.

I spend Christmas with my family here and we had the most wonderful time. The view of the lotus tower is absolutely unique and breathtaking, the best I've experienced in the city so far (I live in Colombo) The swimming pool area is delightful, with a walking/jogging path, a pool dedicated just to swim laps and several other pools adapted for children. The gym aficionados will have access to a super well equipped and air conditionned gym, and the flat itself was exactly as described, super clean, with an extra touch of luxury, pristine bedsheets and ultra comfy beds. Mary the host even enabled me to visit the place before the arrival of my family and was available at all times before and during the stay. We made memories for a lifetime. If you're looking for something special in the capital, look no further. Highly recommend

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay. Nanditha is incredibly welcoming and helpful. She gave us local tips and was very kind. She went above and beyond! The space is clean and comfortable. It is located down a side street along a main road so you are close to transportation and getting around, yet out of the way of lots of noise. I recommend this stay!

Dharshana’s place is in an absolutely beautiful spot, just a short walk from the beach. The location is so peaceful and perfect for anyone looking to escape and relax. The place itself is super clean, well-kept, and has all the amenities you’d need for a comfortable stay. What really makes it special, though, is Dharshana himself. He’s such a friendly and caring host, always easy to reach and happy to help with anything. You can tell he genuinely cares about making your stay enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place to kick back, unwind, and enjoy some beach vibes, this is it. Highly recommend!

Amazing Stay at Fahim’s Place! I recently stayed at Fahim’s place in Colombo, and it was a fantastic experience. The property was exactly as described – clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a hassle-free stay. The location was ideal, providing easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and transportation. Fahim was an outstanding host, always responsive and ready to assist. I highly recommend Fahim’s place to anyone visiting Colombo and would definitely stay here again on my next trip!

was a fantastic place and nikola and benjamin were super helpful.. the spotlessly clean house was in the middle of the city with many eateries and tourist attractions nearby.. bathroom mats weren't provided by Benjamin responded to all our requests promptly and attended to them. will highly recommend this place..

I would recommend this place … it’s a great place with affordable price with an awesome view and great area… very near to most of the hospitals and shopping areas … the place itself is great for shopping and wonderful food in the havelock city mall … all in walking distance and offcourse buggy service is available too … I love the place and would like to come again … I would like to thank capital trust as well for the great support in providing us with an additional key as per request … great job ..

Viji was extremely responsive and friendly, he was attentive to our needs and proactively took care of a problem we had with the wifi and data availability. When my son was using up all the data, he increased the quota without even we having to request it. Just to make sure that we wouldn't run out again. Viji and his wife did everything possible to make our stay comfortable, including a generous amount of food and beverages to get us started when we arrived. We were told the apartment had gone through a face-lift, and everything looked clean and smelled new. We felt nice, cozy, and comfortable in the apartment, especially with the color combination of the interior walls in the living and dining area. I would go back to the same apartment under Viji's friendly hosting without a blink of an eye. Thank you Viji for being a wonderful host.

First off, this is not in the City Center building, its located in On 320 Union, which is a very large condo complex consisting of 3 towers. The condo is brand new, on the same level as the large pool and well appointed Gym. Extremely safe due to very high security and biometrics based access control. The unit had all the listed appliances and amenities. The living room was a bit small but for 4 adults this should be more than enough space. The bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms were well appointed. Very good showers with good pressure and very hot water. Suraj was a very good host, great communication and very friendly and flexible.

We stayed with our 3 kids and we really enjoyed it. We have stayed in Mount Lavinia every time we come to Sri Lanka but this was the best place we’ve stayed at so far. House was very nice, private pool, spacious garden and everything is within walking distance. Nilanka was very flexible when we changed our stay 2 times but it was never a problem. We would highly recommend Samudra House!

After a long flight, we spent a relaxing few days at the villa. The villa itself was super clean and provided us with a massive space to relax and enjoy our time in Sri Lanka. We enjoyed spending time in the pool and jacuzzi, overlooking the beautiful lake. The villa staff scheduled a boat tour of the Bolgoda lake for us. The boat picked us up directly from the villa, so we didn't have to drive anywhere. They gave us a beautiful tour of the Bolgoda Lake, which is the largest natural lake in Sri Lanka. There are also other day trips and excursions (taking you to famous Sri Lankan attractions) which can be arranged through the villa staff. We felt very safe, especially during the coronavirus pandemic, as the villa provided a large space where we could spread out, while still being close to Colombo. The villa staff was very kind and helpful. The villa manager was able to arrange food and a driver for us during our stay. The food was delicious and authentic, being sourced from a local restaurant. I would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a calm, relaxing, and memorable stay in Sri Lanka.
