This was a very last minute trip and it could not have turned out better. Debi’s place is in the perfect location with the BEST views (I’m a sucker for a sunrise). Even with the weather being cooler than we would have liked we were still able to get some nice sun on the rooftop deck, slipped down to beach for a bit, and took a short drive into downtown Wilmington. The condo is the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in and fully stocked with anything you’d need and more. Do NOT pass up the opportunity to stay here! Best decision ever.

This stay was everything you could want and more for a small family vacation! So many thoughtful touches and accommodations for little ones (stepstool, pack and play, games, storybooks, swings, beach toys) definitely a game changer when traveling with a toddler!! The home is gorgeous, fun, very well stocked, and just a one-block walk from the beach. Additionally, Kate was amazing and so considerate of our time and needs. Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place- just book it and see for yourself! Thanks Kate!!!

After Dune Delight! There's no better way to stay!

We had such a good time at After Dune Delight celebrating our son’s first birthday. The place looks exactly like the photos and is super convenient to walk to the beach. The north end is very quiet, which was great although it was the off season so I’m sure it picks up. Having two patios was great for being able to sit outside even while the kid naps. Always love being able to bring our dog on trips, too! Highly recommend the north end mini mart for cheap breakfast sandwiches and the BARge at the CB Yacht Club for drinks. We’ll be back!

Cathy's place was the perfect spot for a Christmas vacation for 5 humans and 2 dogs! The decor was updated and had all the amenities you could need, with plenty of space to cook meals and play games. The beds were super comfy and I really appreciated having blinds and curtains in the bedrooms that let me sleep past sunrise, I know this is challenging at most beach houses with lots of windows! We were super close to the beach and restaurants (Granny's had the BEST biscuits). The fenced backyard was great for the dogs, and the nearby dog park, greenway path, and state park kept us all entertained. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back!

Mark and Sheryl were amazing hosts! They made sure to provide complimentary snacks and drinks for settling in, as well as plenty of beach supplies. The space was perfect for what we needed and roomy too! We never had to drive more than 10 minutes away for everything we needed. The perfect getaway! Thank you, Mark and Sheryl!!

Best Location On The Island! Amazing Ocean Views!

Can’t speak highly enough of this host and location. It was well worth the premium cost. Had I not had to make a grocery run (poor planning on our part) we wouldn’t have ever had to drive anywhere. Tons of amenities, restaurants, etc within a 5 minute walking radius! And the beach views/access is UNPARALLELED! It was PACKED this Easter weekend, so having immediate access with private showers/hoses to clean up was incredible. Would easily stay here again time and time again.

This was a true home away from home! From the moment we arrived until our departure, my family and I felt at home. The only difference between our own home and this one was the address. The location was even better, nestled in a peaceful neighborhood where the residents welcomed and treated us as neighbors. The interior of the home was impeccable, with everything in its place. I would highly recommend this location to anyone seeking a home away from home.

Shannon did a great job with communicating with us. She was very proactive with everything. Check in was flexible and the house was very clean. She had provided bed linens, towels (beach & bath), shampoo, conditioner, tooth brushes and plenty of toilet tissue. The kitchen was well stocked including trash bags, dish detergent (sink / dishwasher) and paper towels! Our dogs loved the fenced in backyard play area. There were awesome areas to sit outside at night. One large gas fire pit down stairs with plenty of comfortable furniture and a smaller fire pit upstairs outside our spacious bedroom on the balcony. The bathrooms were large and very clean. My adult children and grandchildren had a wonderful time playing the arcade game. Thanks Shannon for sharing your beautiful home at the beach!

They also gave great recommendations for outings and even solicited info about potential real estate investments. Can’t beat that.

This is a beautiful place with plenty of space to spread out inside. The covered porch is 10 out of 10! Romantic and lovely for friends or couples or a solo sit. The Kitchen is well appointed and is really nice for cooking together while talking, and has great sharp knives. The bed is comfy. The bathrooms feel genuine and luxe - the tile looks handmade and chosen with though and care- this isn’t the kind of place that had a quick flip; this place looks and feels better in real life than in the image even- this place is the real deal and feels homey and grounding. You will love it.

We had a wonderful stay! The house is in a fantastic location, just a short walk to the beach with easy access, even with a stroller. The review provided was actually not the Salty Seahorse, but to a single home in Kure Beach, one block from the ocean. Due to an unforeseen maintenance need, Carrie Ann reached out and offered her newly acquired Kure Beach home for our upcoming stay in Wilmington. Host, Carrie Ann, was very attentive and accommodating and luckily had a location where we could stay. The home was spotless, very nicely decorated with a well stocked kitchen - plenty of everything needed! The bathroom provided toiletries and an ample supply of linens. The furniture was comfortable, including the porch table, chairs and umbrella - where we enjoyed coffee each morning. There was a slight drain issue to which we reached out to Carrie Ann and she immediately responded. The problem was quickly and thoroughly dealt with within about an hour of my reaching out to her. I would highly recommend this home and, Carrie Ann exceeded my definition of a super host or prime host! Excellent experience!

Coming from no yard in the city, this delightful and adorable house was the best. The dogs and we as humans walked in and absolutely loved the place. We had a great experience. Provided all the necessary amenities and even thoughtful extras. Backyard is beautiful. For those who aren’t used to trailer homes next door, the neighbors were very nice and waved at us when we walked around. Hosts were very accommodating and provided an extension cord to charge our electric vehicle. There was even room to get a wonderful massage from coastal mobile massage in the room with the day bed.

Loved Dawn’s place! The view is absolutely breathtaking! That was my favorite part of walking in, going to sleep, and waking up. The view made me feel like “Okay now this is a vacation”! Dawn was so friendly and responsive! Ready to lend a hand if needed. Will definitely keep this on my list of favorites.

This was even nicer than what was advertised. Beautiful, clean, fully stocked and the host was so helpful. We had to plan a surprise and she helped us with recommendations since we were not from the area and allowed us to check in earlier to help with our plans. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

One of the best airbnbs we’ve stayed at. Everything was exactly as described. It’s about 20 minutes from downtown Wilmington but absolutely worth it for the privacy and seclusion we wanted for our anniversary weekend. You could tell Kristy was thoughtful in making sure we felt right at home. We will for sure be staying here when we’re in the area again.

We had a wonderful visit to Carolina Beach. The house was spacious, beautiful and immaculate. We strolled the few blocks to the beach daily. The owners graciously helped us locate a tire repair shop as we had a flat tire shortly before arriving. The area was inundated with 20” of rain several days before we arrived. It was shocking how quickly the businesses recovered.
