Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Highlands

I booked Robin's beautiful home as part of an experiential Christmas gift to my family centered around the Great Smoky Mountain railroad's Polar Express train ride. To say our stay at the NC Mountain View home was perfect would be an understatement. I've hosted and stayed with Airbnb many times, but Robin's thoughtful hosting style and beautiful home have set a new gold-standard for me and mine. The home was even better in person than is conveyed through the beautiful pictures in the listing. Truly spectacular from the glorious location to the spectacular architectural details. What elevated this stay even further were Robin's carefully thought out amenities and touches. The grand 20' Christmas tree was a lovely surprise, but the hand-crafted, bespoke ornaments left for us on the tree was the sweetest, most thoughtful gesture. The home is equipped with absolutely everything you could want or need during your stay. 10/10 I would recommend staying here. I know we will again!

If you’re looking for a well-kept, comfortable and peaceful place and property for a family get together, this is a must consider. On top of all the wonderful things Asheville offered being only a few minutes drive, we loved going home to this place and have chill time in the outdoor hot tub. It provided us (even our pup) everything we needed for a restful and fun stay. I highly recommend Anne’s house and won’t hesitate to stay again.

We had a great stay at the Pisgah house- perfect location close to the entrance of the Pisgah Forrest- at hiking trails in less than 15 minutes, as well as less then 10 minutes to downtown Brevard restaurants. 100% cotton sheets on the beds were well appreciated. While we didn't have bikes or a dog, this house is definitely set up for those that do!

Arriving in the wee hours of the morning, Chuck was there to welcome us in, virtually. His place was more than we expected! Cozy and perfect with all the amenities. The evening fire pit was our highlight. Chuck went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We appreciate you Chuck, and thanks for leaving the light on for us on our next visit.

Very convenient to Western Carolina University. Clean, comfortable and easy to get to. Would stay here again. House had used every space available for your comfort.

We loved our stay at the “Happy place” cabin. It’s so quiet and peaceful there! The cabin was decorated beautifully and felt like home as soon as we walked through the door. We will definitely be booking for more restful weekends!!!

Had a great stay at Tyler & Anna's! Extremely clean, fresh linens and towels, comfy beds, loved the deck out back to sit and enjoy the mountain view. Loved the horses they have Daisy and Duke! Enjoyed visiting them every day. They also have chickens on property who were fun visitors. An issue with TV was quickly addressed by Tyler who came right over to diagnose the issue. Their house is about 20 minutes from the Biltmore, so very convenient to Asheville but was "out in the country" which was so nice. There are 3 of us ladies who travel each year for a reunion and we were all very satisfied with our choice of this airbnb this year!

Derek’s cabin was the perfect place for our family trip to Maggie Valley. The house was spacious and in a really great location.

We came up for a small get away around Thanksgiving. It was a very pleasant, comfortable apt. That had everything we needed. It was a very private stay even with it being a basement apt. It also smelled really clean and fresh and was super tidy. Lynda has designed this apt beautifully. The beds were super comfy! Lynda and her husband were super nice and very quiet. They offered any assistance we might have needed. The property offered a spectacular view of the mountains!! We would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful apartment, pristine clean and very comfortable. Great deck with a gorgeous view. Perfect spot for a concert in Lake Junaluska and very easy access to a beautiful walking trail around the lake and to Waynesville and Maggie Valley. Excellent extra digs for a family weekend with the rest of the gang staying in the adjacent house.

This is an absolutely amazing place with the friendliest hosts!! The location is great - very close to WCU and lots of great restaurants. The view is SPECTACULAR! The beds are very comfortable. We appreciated the snacks and coffee bar. Don and Renie are wondeful communicators and their attention to detail makes this a very special place. They are first class hosts! I definitely will look to book this property again.

My pup and I had a wonderful stay in the first floor apartment. It was very clean, comfortable and quiet. I enjoyed sitting out on the covered front patio sipping my afternoon tea. I also appreciated the dedicated parking spot in the private drive and the fact that I could walk to the shops and restaurants in town.

This was a short, last minute trip and this place fit our needs perfectly. Would definitely stay again.

This was my first experience staying in an Airbnb where the hosts lived above the unit, and it was a positive one!! Dave and Barb were exceptional hosts. I thoroughly enjoyed the cozy mountain getaway, our conversations, and their warm hospitality. Their space is comfortable and inviting, providing an ideal retreat after a day of hiking, mining, or exploring. I highly recommend booking their place if you seek a peaceful and scenic experience in Franklin without exceeding your budget. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The space was quaint and cozy with everything you could need. Loved having access to a full kitchen during the stay! Activities were limited due to recent hurricane damage, but I was amazed at how quickly this little town was revamping after such a tragedy. Highly recommend Mary’s space to others! The hot tub is an added bonus ◡̈

The home was nice, no complaints, would stay again. But the stars here are the hosts. I was here for Hurricane Helene. The storm damage was honestly minimal compared to what I would later see in some of the harder hit areas, but I was blocked in by a small mudslide for just a day or so. The hosts happened to be out on vacation, but even through the cellular disruptions, they managed to maintain constant contact and coordinated assistance from neighbors. They took care of me like family.

If you want peace and quiet, this is the place to come to in the north Georgia mountains of Sky Valley. Beautiful views especially at sunset, hearing the chapel bells ringing, watching the humming birds fly around during the day and at night the bats, and friendly neighbors. The unit was roomy and comfortable. There were a few light bulbs burned out upon arrival and our host was very responsive and a maintenance gentleman was there soon to replace them. Lots of local activities and great restaurants in nearby Highlands and Franklin, NC and Clayton, GA. For walkers the Sky Valley golf course closes at 7 p.m. and it's great walking or jogging around the beautiful course.

Jenny & Ania were amazing hosts! Their place is perfectly located and allows access to a great community center and amenities. We stayed here for the 4th of July and had a wonderful time. HUGE plus that our dog was allowed as well :) Will definitely stay here again!

Mainstay is the perfect spot downtown Waynesville! It’s beautiful, comfortable, and convenient. Jennifer and Adam respond quickly to questions and were always helpful and kind.

Wish I could have stayed longer

I really loved the decor throughout and the kitchen was perfectly laid out which made meal time easy. The location is a really pretty spot and we even had Thanksgiving at the club! I would definitely go back again.

We booked last minute and by that, a day and a half before we arrived. Darlene responded within minutes and made arrival so easy with perfect directions/information. Darlene checked in with us during our visit and with the welcome packet Darlene sent us, I had minimal if any questions. The place exceeded our expectations and was so very close to the club and all the amenities. View was beyond! The only negative was we never saw a bear. 😂 We will be back!
