Cabin vacation rentals in Highland Lake

One of our fav Airbnb experiences. The home was clean and well-stocked. The location was private with beautiful surroundings. Got plenty of use out of the hot tub and sauna. Both were clean, and clear instructions were provided by host for ease of use. There is no cell service at the house and we had trouble connecting to the WiFi at first, but we were able to restart the router and get connected. The hosts were helpful and responded quickly to all our messages. The host-provided guide book included great local recommendations. We loved Foundry42 coffee shop in Port Jervis and the NYMakgeolli Brewery just up the road for mom and pop Korean cuisine and rice wine made in-house. Would 100% stay again!

An amazing place! The coziest creek cabin - 110%. Daniel was great at communication. We had some questions - responsive, timely, helpful. If you are looking for a get away, where you can unplug from the world for a few - this is a great place! If you are looking for things to do, hiking with waterfalls, skiing, restaurants, tours, plenty to do with a little Bit of a drive. Worth every penny!

The place was so cute and cozy. We would have extended our stay we liked it so much, but the place was already booked for the next night. Everywhere you looked there was something interesting to look at. The views from the window were picturesque. It snowed lightly when we were there which was beautiful, but made poor driving conditions on the hilly gravel road. Poor driving conditions are not something within the owner of the property's control as they don't own the road, but something to keep in mind if planning a trip in the snowy season. When they suggest coming in a car with 4-wheel drive, there is a good reason. There was so many fun things for my kids to do there. I have kids ages toddlers through teens and everyone liked the game room, theater room, and outdoor spaces. We loved everything about our stay and plan on returning! Highly recommend!

Pawel's place was great! He was very responsive and extremely helpful. They house was beautiful, and perfect for our needs! We would absolutely visit again!

This was my second stay at this property and it was even better in the winter! It snowed while we had a great fire and didnt even realize how cold it was outside! The space is exactly as described! All you would need to enjoy beautiful surroundings! A great space to be calm and at peace! The house is the perfect size for two to sleep and that heater was toasty! Sam is super attentive and extremely kind! A great property! The spring fed, wood fired hot tub in the snow is another level of relaxation! Cant wait for my next visit! The cozy cabin is exactly as shown in the pictures. It’s so well equipped that the only things we packed were clothes and personal effects, nothing else was needed. The cabin is spotless and instantly smelled of pumpkin bread as we walked in. The coffee/cocoa bar and s’mores bar were both unique features. Naomi has decorated with all the comforts of home and was incredibly responsive with any questions we had. She was a lovely host. We would recommend this cabin to friends, as it was a short drive in either direction to Scranton or to the Binghamton area for shopping, restaurants and entertainment.

We had an incredible time in Mary, Pavela and Victor’s cozy home! It was perfect for a girls trip for our friend’s birthday. So many amazing amenities, very clean and well located near restaurants and activities. Everyone was so hospitable and answered any questions we had quickly. Would absolutely stay again and highly recommend!

We had great experience staying at the Jeff and Sharon’s cabin. The cabin was exactly as described. Clean, cozy, and well maintained. Everything was setup perfectly, and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Loved the location out in woods by creek. Communication with host was smooth and easy, and they were very accommodating. I highly recommend staying here and would love to return back in warm weather!

My first experience renting through Airbnb brought me to this listing by Natalie Rich Nicholas Initially, it was a spontaneous getaway. We ended up booking late at night, and the They hosts stayed up late to assist me, ensuring we checked in safely. The place was pretty good, offering everything we needed, reasonably clean, and with easy access to everything. To be fair, we also made sure not to leave the place excessively messy, as it was clear that these hosts genuinely cared and knew what they were doing. Looking forward to my next visit. We loved our stay at Jessica's cabin! The cabin itself is somehow even cuter and cozier than the photos. We drove around and visited Phoenicia Diner and walked around Kingston in the afternoon (the drive was very manageable). We also got food from Upstate Taco nearby, and it was delicious!! Also huge shout out to Jessica, as there was a snowstorm one night that we stayed, and she was responsive to let us know that the roads are reliably plowed, and offered to have someone plow the driveway if needed so we could get out.

We enjoyed our stay, the place was very warm and clean. The owner was very nice. We would recommend staying here.

Spent a weekend with my family of 4 at this beautiful cabin house and could not have been more happier. The location is perfect. Secluded enough to have privacy and close enough to be near everything that you could possible need. We went to Kalahari water park for a day, which was only 20 minutes away. The cabin was clean and very spacious. It offered everything that you may need when staying with a family at an AirBnb. Tim was friendly and responsive!We appreciated him notifying us in advance to be careful because there was an ice storm that just hit. We would love to stay again in the warmer months and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for the perfect little cabin getaway.

What a magnificent spot! If nothing else, the creek next to the house was worth the price of admission. But the whole experience was fantastic. We filled the place up, and had a dozen more family members come for Thanksgiving dinner. It was cozy and the extra kitchen in the cabin was a godsend. We loved being there, and everything about our stay was perfect. Thank you!

The cabin was beautiful and rejuvenating, exactly as described and just like the pictures - the snow storm made it even better! It was difficult to find and get to the right cabin after dark though. The host was quick to respond and provided clear, detailed instructions. I would absolutely recommend this place! The alpacas and dogs were adorable, and Maybelline completely stole the show by hogging all the apples. A cozy break from routine!

This was our second stay here. Patrick's cabin is peaceful and cozy. We were greeted with a welcome note a bottle of lovely wine and popcorn. We were there during a cold snap yet were very comfortable. The wood burning stove kept us nice and warm (with plenty of wood in the wood shed). The setting is idyllic we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Patrick is easy to communicate with and very accomdating including for our need to change our reservation. We'd love to return in the warm weather. It's a very special place!

We are so grateful for our stay at Cabinessence. Jeanne was incredibly accommodating and communicative through our whole stay. The home is beautiful, and is filled with warmth, and very cozy, despite being very spacious. My teenage son is already planning another stay there next year! :D

Beautiful cabin. It is exactly as pictured. It was very cozy. I found it comfortable and well maintained. I went with my two year old and two month old! I felt very comfortable and safe with them there. It was a wonderful experience. We will be back!
