Cabin vacation rentals in Hico

Gary's airbnb was one of the best I've ever stayed in. The cabin couldn't be better located for all the adventures in and around the New River Gorge that we wanted to explore. Our check-in process was seamless, and they provided freshly baked bread, local jam, and fresh eggs which we made quick work over over the next several days. Because of adventures above, the hot tub was a must and made for the perfect end of our days. If you're thinking about renting this, don't hesitate, just do it!

Our family had a great time at Darien’s cabin. We were about 10-15 minutes from some great hiking, the gorge bridge, and great restaurants in the cute town of Fayetteville. My kids got to watch snow falling one morning on the front porch and we listened to the frogs every time it rained. The hot tub was heavenly! Thank you so much for having us and for all of the effort that you put into making our stay comfy, peaceful, and special.

Wonderful property that is secluded but also has lots of space. The fire pit and hot tub were great for spending time outside, and it's super close to the national park.

The cabin is very cozy and clean! Our pup loved the backyard!

This Airbnb was absolutely perfect for our getaway! The space was airy, and beautifully designed. We especially loved the comfortable beds and the peaceful outdoor patio - it was the perfect spot to relax. The location was quiet and private, which is what we were looking for. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable living area, and plenty of storage space. We felt right at home and couldn't have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend this Airbnb and would definitely stay here again!"

Needed a spontaneous getaway and this was the perfect solution. Beautiful and unique decorating. Perfect amount of space for my partner, myself, and my dog. Short drive to so many trails. Absolutely loved and highly recommend!

The location was super convenient as I was traveling to attend Bridge Day. The cabin looks just like the photos and it was easy to find. The hosts were super friendly and very helpful when I accidentally locked myself out of my cabin. And when I mentioned that the space heater that was provided was not working properly they replaced it for me. If you are looking for a no-frills, basic shelter and accommodations then this is it!

We had a wonderful stay at Mr. Craig’s Airbnb in Summersville! The place was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and stocked with everything we needed. Craig was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Everything was smooth and hassle-free — highly recommend!

My wife, our golden retriever and I stayed 3 nights. This cabin is off the beaten path and that is what we wanted. Everything was as described. Our dog, Gracie, loved the wide open space to run. Inside, the cabin was clean and modern with tons of living room space. This is the place to unplug. We do recommend.

The cabins are a great place to stay while exploring the NRG national park. The Amish cabin matched the description and is very comfortable for 2-5 people. The property is very clean and clear instructions were provided during check-in and check-out. The WiFi connectivity is spotty but mobile network worked just fine. Restaurants, fast food and grocery stores are located with a mile. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a very nice and peaceful stay in Ashley's cabin. The cabin smelled great and was very clean.

Picked the right place for this trip. absolutely beautiful comfortable and felt at home. We hiked on the premises which was very nice. Christy respond fast and is an above and beyond host. Just brought something to her attention that didnt need to be taken care of during our stay and she did it anyway. Would highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Danielle’s cabin! The location is absolutely perfect — tucked into the peaceful forest near Summersville Lake, yet still super convenient to get to. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and full of charm. We especially liked sipping coffee on the front porch in the mornings and winding down on the back deck in the evenings. Danielle was a fantastic host — friendly, responsive, and thoughtful. She provided everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The short walk to the lake was a huge bonus, and we appreciated being so close to fishing, hiking, and exploring the New River Gorge area. Highly recommend staying here — we can’t wait to come back!

Francesca was amazing! The cabin was very clean and in a great location! While it was my oversight that there wasn't a TV in the cabin (it is even listed as NOT an amenity), she was at our cabin within 15 minutes of me contacting her about it! She brought us bags of games to choose from and even went to the manager cabin and her and my husband got the TV from there! While we couldn't get that one to work, the following day we came back from our hiking and there was a new TV there! She went out of her way to make our stay better and I can't thank her enough for that! We were able to have great days of hiking, come back clean up and go to dinner then relax with a movie and snacks! The only thing missing was a good view from cabin. There is just not much to look at the way the cabins are situated. We really didn't spend much time there so that was not a problem!

Beautiful cottage with everything you need to enjoy the evening relaxing after a day of adventure in the parks. Comfortable and private, easy to find, and great communication.

It's a great place to get away from the busyness of life and spend time reflecting on the goodness of God. We spent a quiet Thanksgiving there. The fireplace was definitely a highlight!

This “Cozy Cabin” was secluded and private in the hills of West Virginia! This quaint cabin is located down a private lane surrounded by beautiful scenery, tall trees, a welcoming front porch! We enjoyed the numerous amenities like the grill, sauna, outdoor tub, and great s’mores on the fire-pit. This cabin has everything you need for cooking and plenty of blankets and towels! So impressed with this cabin and the games provided for a rainy day or late night. This cabin is so close to restaurants and hiking trails. The cabin exceeded or expectations and would stay again!!!

This was our second stay at Jeremy's Cabin, and we couldn't be happier! The location strikes the perfect balance—close enough to town for convenience, yet far enough away to feel like you're truly off the grid. The sound of the running creek adds an extra touch of tranquility that we absolutely love. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend this lovely cabin to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway!

Great stay overall, would recommend to a friend! We were climbing in New River Gorge Proper and Summerville, and the house served as a great basecamp. The 2nd floor loft is a very cozy retreat! My only notes are that the interior lighting could use some improvement (low lamps instead of overhead lighting), and blackout curtains would be nice to insulate sleepers from passing headlights. Light sleepers might want to bring earplugs & eye mask to block out the road noise & light.

We thought this place was a great escape for a mother/daughters weekend getaway. The location was private enough to feel you had space away from everything but also very well located to local shops, restaurants, and the parks for hiking. The descriptiom does not sell short. Everything was easy to use & they had very detailed instructions on how to operate certain things around the house. There was also enough space for our 2 large dogs to play in and around the house and feel at home. We did feel some photos online were a little outdated, like the fire pit area was not in exact state anymore, as well as what was available at the house as they mentioned in their house binder, like flashlights and lighters, and could use an inventory check, but they were small things that did not impact our trip directly. There was a neighbor nearby they recommended to call for firewood & he was super friendly & made our fire pit nights so convenient. We will definitely look to stay at this place again!
