Family-friendly vacation rentals in Havelock North

We had such a lovely stay with Gill. She could not have been more welcoming to us all. She was so wonderful with our children and honestly, we really felt like we were staying with family rather than someone we had never met before. By far one of our best AirBnb experiences. Her home is so lovely and the views are just amazing. We would definitely stay with Gill again.

Lovely place to stay. Comfortable room and beautiful property. We enjoyed visiting the animals and using the hot tub. FYI pool is only heated after labour days Wish we had stayed another night.

We had an amazing peaceful week at Rebecca and Ollie's place. The house is kitted out with everything you might need, it's quiet and clean, and the kids had a blast in the garden and with the toys. Amazing location with heaps of things to do only a walk away. Rebecca and Ollie were also really responsive to questions and gave us good spots to visit. We'd love to come back next time we're in Napier!

Absolutely stunning home in an idyllic spot. Lovely big garden with so many little spots to sit out in the sun and enjoy the sound of the waves crashing. Well equipped house with everything you could need, including a fire place in the lounge for a cozy evening in. Carol was the loveliest host, with so many kind touches around the house, making sure we had everything we needed. Stayed for 3 days with friends while we did the Hawkes Bay half, and had a wonderful weekend with lazy walks on the beach with our coffees (from the coffee machine provided) in the morning. 10/10 would recommend and would stay again if we were in the region. Lovely stay in a quiet location. Very clean, tidy little place with all the basic necessities. Lots of character and quite a unique stay. Collin is a great host who was very good at keeping in touch with us.

We stayed for a month at The Pavilion and absolutely LOVED it. Nick & Judy were the best, so friendly & generous throughout our stay, going out their way in a myriad of ways to make us feel at home. The property is exactly as it looks and even a more peaceful paradise in reality. Access to the river trail system makes for a 10 minute walk to reach the amenities of Havelock North. It was hard to leave and a very, very memorable stay.

This place is stunning! The pictures really do it justice. A lovely place to stay, close to town but really this is a house for completion relaxation! The pool is wonderful and the flow and finish of the house really makes it feel special! Highly recommend staying here! We were in the area for a wedding and it was the perfect place for a group of friends to cook, relax and soak up the sunshine, all whilst giving people there own space. You will feel like a celebrity staying here! 5 Stars!

We had a wonderful stay! The house is perfect for a group of friends, offering plenty of space and comfort. With three bathrooms and spacious living areas, it easily accommodated our group of eight without feeling cramped. The home was clean, well-equipped, and in a fantastic location, making our trip even more enjoyable. We would absolutely love to stay again and highly recommend this property to others. Absolutely gorgeous setting, sparkling clean place, warm, comfortable. Only trouble was its spring. There was a spring frost. At 2am we discovered the barn is surrounded by extremely loud frost windmills. Both nights we stayed we got hardly any sleep. Then at 7am on Sunday morning someone started driving a tractor and sprayer about 50m away. I had to evacuate as I’m allergic to various sprays. I really felt we should have been warned the place is surrounded by huge noisy windmills and potential for spraying. I should add this only happens occasionally in spring when there are late, unexpected frosts. Rest of the year I’d definitely stay again. Highly highly recommended except in spring frosts.

Wonderful hosts, beautiful home. It was a pleasure to chat with Wenhua and Matthew, and they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We would highly recommend the place for its proximity to Te Mata and the Havelock North township! 10/10 would come back again 😊

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful refurbished school house. Everything we needed. Amazing views and local walks and our dog was a very very one! Highly recommend

A spacious apartment. Lots of books and things. Hilary was helpful and friendly and greeted us upon arrival. Homemade cookies and fresh apricots from her garden were on the table She gave us plenty of local information and even soap powder for the launderette. I would love to stay there longer, but unfortunately, our trip was already planned. Maybe another time.

We loved staying at Damien and Kara’s Airbnb, it was very stylish, had everything we needed to keep kids and adults entertained and it was the perfect size and layout for a group of 7.

Loved our stay! Beautifully renovated property. Very tidy and comfortable. Kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed to cook our family meals. Our almost 2 year old loved all of the animals. The pool was perfect on the hot sunny days we were there. Hosts were extremely helpful during our stay. Would definitely come back! What a stunning home, steeped in history and with beautiful ocean views. We loved being surrounded by the old pohutakawas and it was a much needed peaceful haven, with everything we could wish for. The salt water pool was very welcome in the heat wave too!

Alices home is such a perfect house for a family holiday. The kids loved it so much, we all did. The swimming pool was such a bonus on those hot days. Alice was an amazing host and communication was really good throughout our stay. Our family had a great time & the adults really enjoyed the table tennis too. The house has everything you need.
