House vacation rentals in Hatteras

Our family of five loved our stay. We went to the beach twice a day and cooked at home each meal. Diane and her daughter took great care of us and their home had everything we needed.

Erika and Casey were responsive and accommodating. The place was spotless and a good fit for our group of 8- highlights were definitely the laser tag and heated pool! Only downside was figuring out beach access as it’s not a straight shot but still very close by. Not as many restaurants in the area but we were able to cook our own meals with the well stocked kitchen. Would stay again!

Grateful for a weekend away in the OBX. If you like to run or walk, you can get to a great paved path/sidewalk near the ocean front with ease from this house. Close to everything! Also, neighborhood pool (small fee) was a great amenity!

The house looked exactly as described & shown in the pictures! It was absolutely beautiful, clean and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay so much! The host was communicative, nice, & made sure we were settled into the house comfortably. Cannot say enough good things about this Air BnB!!

This house was as pictured. It was one of the best stocked houses we have ever stayed in. Trish was extremely responsive and helpful. Lovely home, great layout, especially loved the new day bed on the top balcony. Beach and pool were great. Would definitely stay there again. Some family members had difficulty walking over the dune but that’s not anyone’s problem. Would highly recommend this house.

We stayed at this house for a long weekend. It was a girls trip for my mom’s 86th birthday. We loved everything about the house! We had a rainy first day… But it didn’t bother us a bit! We stayed in our PJs in your lovely top floor and watched movies! Lisa was very helpful and answered any question I had quickly. We all agree that we would definitely stay here again!

Kate’s place was wonderful. Despite not staying during the best weather conditions, my family had tons of fun and enjoyed the amenities provided. Will definitely book again in the future!

This is our second summer at Laughing Whales, and it surely won’t be our last! Betsy and Marc are excellent hosts, and their home feels very much like our second home. The house is cozy, and stocked with everything you could possibly think of. On rainy days there is plenty downstairs to keep both kiddos and adults entertained for hours. Our dog Pickles is a huge fan of the fenced in backyard and the enclosed sunroom for optimal sun bathing. The sectional was a great addition this year, we spent a good amount of time winding down there after a long day in the sun. The distance to the beach cannot be matched, and they supply everything you may need to make beach days a breeze. Our son is autistic, so change can be hard. Marc and Betsy have been so supportive and accommodating, which has made our summer vacations absolutely amazing and something we look toward to every year. The hardest part is leaving, if we could stay here all year we would! Thank you Marc and Betsy!! ❤️❤️❤️

First thing I noticed walking in was the beautiful colors on the walls. The house was decorated so well, we felt welcomed and comfortable. We love vacationing down here and will be looking forward to staying here again.

Destination OBX was a great house for our crew of 13! We swam in the pool and the ocean almost daily. October really is a wonderful time to visit OBX. The house was spacious and clean. Having the kitchen and dining on the top floor was ideal for entertaining then heading down stairs for games. Fishheads Grill is an easy 1 mile walk on the beach from Barbara’s rental and even closer, the beach access from the house is a stones throw. We loved having bikes for the older kids to bike to the pier and boogie boards for fun in the ocean. Finally, there are great sunrise and sunset views. Would definitely love to come back!

We had a fabulous stay at the Hideaway! This home is literally stocked better than our home that we live in 24/7. It's close to all, clean and spacious. We enjoyed all the details, and communication from the host during our stay. We had a small family mishap and the host was so kind, and helpful. We appreciated everything and wil be back to stay again soon.

Shawn was a good host and answered all my questions very fast and gave us accommodations. The place was very clean, perfect for our family and our dog! We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

We had such a nice stay! The house is a very easy walk to the beach and the area was incredibly peaceful.

Alison’s home was the perfect place for our Thanksgiving weekend. Spacious, steps away from the beach, and extremely local. Would recommend to anyone, especially families.

Very clean, charming beautiful home. Nicely tucked away from crowds and noise but at the same time walkable to everything. Hosts were very responsive and local so very helpful. Very friendly hosts and lovely decorators with great taste and great book collections. Thanks for a great stay!

Our stay at Timothy’s place was excellent. The weather was terrible during our stay due to a tropical storm, but the beautiful house made up for the weather. Timothy has thoroughly thought of every detail in the home. It is beautifully furnished and decorated. It has a great outdoor space. There were plenty of televisions to keep everyone happy given the weather. The hot tub is frequently serviced and clean. It has a very nice outdoor tub as well. The outdoor showers are beautiful and well designed. He has hoses on every level to minimize tracking sand into the house. We felt very relaxed. We would definitely recommend Timothy’s place. Very responsive host. Timothy definitely cares about his property and the comfort of his guests. We would come back and recommend this house.

Beautiful home, clean, comfortable and very bright compared to other places I have stayed at in the area. Look forward to returning again at some point in the future.

Loved our stay here in OBX! Michelle was a great host, super responsive and helpful. Loved the location, very private with lots of space. Views upstairs of the sound were amazing with gorgeous sunsets. Just a few minute drive to the beach club with private beach which was amazing to not have to fight for parking spots. Fully stocked home, especially the kitchen and the downstairs area with all you’d need for your trip to the beach. Will definitely look to stay again on future trips to OBX.

The cottage was very cute, clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back!

Andy’s place was the perfect spot for our short trip! The house had everything we needed and the walk to town/shops was a breeze.

I rented the Alpha & Omega for a weekend with my four sisters, who flew in from other parts of the country and world. It was FABULOUS! Sooooo comfortable and the BEST view of the sound - including a stunning sunset complete with dolphins frolicking in the water. Bill was so easy to work with. There are bicycles available, which we used to bike a short distance to a state park with some trails and a nice beach. The living area and kitchen were excellent gathering spots AND the front has TWO decks where you can enjoy the view. The back also has wonderful decks off kitchen and lower level bedrooms to enjoy the backyard view. One of the best places we've ever stayed!!! LOVED it!

dawn was excellent and very responsive and the house was beautiful. Read the contract carefully so as to note that you need to clean prior to leaving, but it was great location for having a pet and we had fun with the kayaks and close to kite areas.
