Charming guest house with amazing views

Unwind in this one-of-a-kind and quiet space! Rent your own guest house with access to spectacular views in the heart of Hardanger. This is a private spot with no neighbors (except us in the main house). Experience nature at its best, with access to mountains and fjords and all that means. On site, there is also the possibility to use two "fire houses" where late evenings are not a problem. If the wish is available, we are happy to give tips, guiding on tours and fishing rods or SUPS.

Mountain cabin in Trodla-Tysdal after 3 hours hike

Trodla-Tysdal has been a tourist destination for hikers since 1892. Tourists have to walk for appox. 3 hours (7 km) from Kleivaland parking place. There is no driving road to Trodla-Tysdal. Trodla-Tysdal means the valley of the Norwegian Trolls due the wilderness and dramatic nature. In 1996 Reidunn and Kjell built a tourist cabin for hikers. In 1998 in addition a small private cabin. In 2017 this small cabin was renewed and now it is possible to book this small cabin for you.

A cozy-rustic cabin with an amazing view

The Airbnb is surounded by fruit trees, peaceful and quiet place with an amazing view on the Hardanger fjord. ( nearest grocery stores are in Granvin or Ulvik, about 20min drive) In the old days the cabin was the maids/girls house, when they came to work on the farm. You can take many wonderful hikes in the area and I highly recommend to use the App UT.no it shows you how far it is, how high, distance, how challenging etc.

Welcome to Solgløtt! Totally renovated in 2020, tiled bathroom, heat/ac, secluded location with a view of Vikse fjord. Hiking possible just outside the door. Short car trip to hiking areas as Ryvarden lighthouse (6 km) Bedroom with double bed and sofa bed in the living room. The cabin is perfect for 2 people. Have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. 12 km to Haugesund city centre

We loved our stay at Linda’s and Åsmunds. The cabin was beautiful and very well equipped. The location was spectacular and Linda was very quick with communication. They had lots of suggestions for things to do around the area and were very welcoming. Would highly recommend staying here, and hope we will be back!

Lovely little house in a nice location. Quiet and beautiful! The host was welcoming and we felt very well received. Must be said that it can get something cold in the evening/night in the more cold months. But proper clothing and good thick duvets that we got made up. Thank you for a great stay!

This is a beautiful and charming little cottage with a fjord view. The yard was stunning- fruit trees and hydrangeas that looked like they'd been created with AI. The lawn was like walking on a mattress- we enjoyed playing croquet there. The hosts were so friendly- they left freshly caught mackerel in the freezer- straight from the fjord. It was so delicious we had it for dinner twice. Bjorn offered to take us fishing, but it was a rainy day and we drove south to a Viking Village instead. There is a lovely deck by the fjord that is shared with the family, but it was too cold to enjoy it properly during our visit. The house itself has a very comfortable deck in which you can enjoy the view. Know that this is a remote spot- no restaurants or stores within a 15 minute drive. Loved it!

It was my second stay and for good reason I came back! The guest house is something special in a great location. The sea and mountains are close by in a very quiet area, and at the same time two buses go towards Bergen city center 100 meters from the door. It takes about 30 minutes by bus to Bryggen. Anne Berit and Kjetil are very warm people who do their best to make you feel at home and comfortable. They are welcoming and informative, while respecting privacy. The guesthouse is small, but very bright and very well decorated; very clean and tidy. There is a nice outdoor area with a beach nearby, where you can also grill food in the summer. Good supermarket with long hours 1.3 km from the guesthouse. Great mattress to sleep on and a good bathroom. I definitely think I'll be back a third time too!

It was fantastic to arrive at the house after a long journey. It looked great and the house immediately felt warm and comfortable. Arvid and Sissel are very friendly and helpful. They respond and help immediately if you have a question. The accommodation was very clean and we immediately felt at home. A beautiful area with plenty to do. We were there in winter, but would like to come again in the summer. It was a wonderful holiday with our family.

This is an old workshop that Roald and his wife with good taste and good hands have turned into a very pleasant guest house. Everything appears to be modern and newly renovated, where you will find a bathroom with shower, two (!) toilets, kitchen with dishwasher and a living room. Upstairs there is one large bedroom with a double bed, and a slightly smaller bedroom with a single bed and a double four-poster bed. If you need more space, there is also a bedroom with a private entrance - we didn't use that. Åsheim is 3 kilometers up from Hosanger on a narrow and winding road, but when you come up here, you feel the peace and quiet descent. This is one of two mountain garages up here, Tveiten is on the right at the intersection. There is a lot of hiking opportunities, the summit trip to both Åsheimvéten and Tveitafjellet are popular, also among the permanent residents. Roald is super nice and happy to have a chat, to us he came with freshly laid eggs that we could have for breakfast the next morning. This is a peaceful oasis that we would love to come back to.
