I had an amazing stay! The room is very comfortable and tidy, and they make sure to keep it that way by cleaning it daily (during the time the room is empty). The location is very convenient as it is surrounded by many cafes, restaurants, bakeries, shops, pubs, etc. I also found a close money exchange store near by (with really cheap exchange rates!!) The staff is really friendly and did amazingly well at making my stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you very much for contributing to this great travel experience!

Highly recommend! The hotel is in a very charming French style building, and it is located in one of the best areas of West Lake. The room was spacious and had everything you'll need, including a kitchen, a large bathroom, sofa, work desk, and several windows that allow for a lot of natural light. The host was super helpful and very responsive to our needs. Will stay again if we're ever in Hanoi again in the future!

Star Anise 301 – Maison d'Orient Hotel Hanoi

My father and I had a wonderful time at Maison d‘Orient. The staff were unbelievably friendly and courteous, from daily quests, like finding the best local restaurants, to booking a last minute cruise off the more beaten path. The hotel is located in a quiet alley right in the middle of the old quarter, so we were able to discover Hanoi by foot, while also sleeping well at night. Breakfast was tasty and nutritious , with an assortment of local fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast and of course the famous Vietnamese coffee. I would recommend Maison d’Orient to all of my friends, and that’s because of the people who work there. Thank you Miên and Michael for making us feel so welcome!

Our stay at the Matilda Boutique Hotel was fantastic. - The communication in advance was simple and fast. - The location is very central in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. But in the room itself it was incredibly quiet. There was no noise pollution from outside. The room was spotlessly clean and really tastefully decorated. - The breakfast was varied, fresh and of very high quality. - Great service - even on short notice. All in all, one could not be better off at this price. We would go there again any time. I can only warmly recommend it

The comunication with the host was very good from the beggining to the end. He picked us up from the airport for small money and made some favours for us free of charge. He respond quickly and gave us exact information about what we were looking for(especialy about the tea).He allways found time to serve us although he is very busy. At the end he gave us a small gift, so for sure we will return next time. The place is clean ,quite and comfortable.We apriciated that we had our own bathroom in the room and a soft mattress for a good rest. We could also use the kitchen which is very well equipped, for some quick meals.There are lots of grocery stores just around the corner. We had an amazing stay , everithing was even beyond expectation.Great value for that money so we highly recomend staying here!

All staffs are friendly and helpful. Many thanks to Ms Lily for helping us to make a restaurant reservations on 24/12 Xmas Eve. Also helped to booked on 1 day Halong Bay Arcady Luxury Cruise The hotel is located in the center of Hanoi very close to the famous attractions of Hanoi and famous restaurants and cafes. Because we had an early flight and had to leave the hotel at 4am, the staffs was very considerate and specially prepared breakfast for us and arranged airport transportation. Thank you very much!

The room we stayed in was absuletuly great. Very spacious, rustic, huge balcony with a street view. The staff were 10 stars, most of them have an excellent English and they are very caring. They helped us organising our trip to Ha Lonh Bay and gave all the touristic tips about Hanoi. We really love it and certainly recommend it.

I don't need another word. It is a hotel heavily armed with enormous location and kindness from its staff. I'll stay here if I come back. Very kind. Everyone.

Tony was an outstanding host from start to end! As soon as I booked, he contacted me to confirm details, offer a driver to pick me up at the airport, and send me some information on some day tours. I took the driver, and would highly recommend it! Air conditioned and nice car for just ~$4 USD more than a taxi. I also opted for the day trip to Nimh Minh (vietnam's largest pagoda and river boat rowing through caves). My guide was Kimi and loved having him as he made the whole group a big family (and I am not a huge fan of tour groups!). The hotel was nice and in a great location for the night market. Lots of things to do and see right nearby. Breakfast was included and the staff at the front desk were very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay again :)

Great for a few days. 30 mins to the airport. Room was accurate to the photos, hot water, nice towels and very clean. Friendly staff.
