Half Moon Bay vacation rentals

Even though we rented through Airbnb and not the resort directly, you wouldn’t have know the difference. We had access to everything and a beautiful room with an incredible view.

We had a wonderful short getaway at Sue’s place! The condo is just steps from the beach, pool, and jacuzzi. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was relaxing, and the ocean breeze was very refreshing. It was exactly what we needed to reset and recharge. Everything was just as described, and we would stay here again! Thank you, Sue!

This was, by far, the best air bnb we have ever stayed in. In addition, Kim and Pam were fantastic and couldn’t have made our stay any better. They thought of everything to make a couple or family feel right at home. Everything was spotless, plenty of basics such as towels, linens, blankets to make your stay so cozy. And the beds, they were heaven. Great night’s sleep is definitely to be had. We used the fireplace inside when we arrived as it was chilly. Just perfect touch. Walk in shower is great. So nice to have two bathrooms, one with tub. Walking distance to beach. We went there every day with our dog. Very dog friendly area; you will encounter many daily. We appreciated the privacy and fenced yard, lovely entertaining area and the hammock was great. I highly recommend cloud gazing. Thank you, Kim and Pam for a truly memorable stay. We’ve stayed at this oceanfront home three times now, and every visit has been absolutely perfect. The views of the water are stunning—whether you’re sipping coffee in the morning or watching the sunset, it never gets old. The beach is just steps away, which makes everything so easy, especially with kids. The outdoor shower is an absolute plus for rinsing off the kids after a beach day! The home itself is always spotless and really well cared for. It’s super quiet and peaceful, which makes it a great place to relax. It’s kid-friendly, which we appreciate as a family. There are toys and beach supplies provided. This place truly feels like a home away from home for us—we can’t wait to come back again!

This place was nicer than the photos and absolutely perfect for a girls weekend. Everything was well equipped and labeled. The location was very quiet and peaceful with great access to a quiet beach. You definitely need a car as it's a little isolated but that added to the charm.

Staying at this property was amazing from beginning to end. Jennifer quickly responded to all of my questions about the property and was always friendly and provided so much information. The house was perfect for a group of 10. Beautiful bathrooms and bedrooms with plenty of extra linens and blankets. The kitchen was fully equipped and was even better than the pictures made it look. The location was amazing. It was a very short walk to the beautiful beach and you could also walk to some very good restaurants. We walked to The Barn as well as to Sam’s chowder House. Easy walk to both from the house. The check-in and checkout was so simple. Could not give a better review! Thank you so much! Would definitely stay here again!

Location location location! This home was steps from the beach and was so lovely to listen to the waves crashing from the comfort of our bed! Walkable to local coffee shop, deli and restaurant for yummy happy hour. 3 stories was nice for 2 families, each family had their own floor. Jaleh was very responsive if we had questions!

Great spot! Parking garage was small (as described) but having the permit pass was extremely helpful. Perfect spot for our family with 2 kids! Excellent communication with host. Would use Surf City rentals again in a heartbeat.

Great house with ideal privacy and fenced in yard.

Everything was comfortable and attractive but the kitchen stood out. It is well appointed for a couple who are used to cooking for themselves. The neighborhood was attractive and very quiet. Parking was never a problem. It is within walking distance of two grocery stores and an entire shopping center. The WiFi is great. This unit fit our needs very well.

This is a really great place to stay at & it’s super affordable. Sean was so helpful and nice to us. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to visit San Francisco anytime soon!

Lovely, clean house with anything you’d need. Great location — a block away from restaurants, local shops and the main bus line — but felt very private. Beautiful front garden.

Jilayi is a wonderful host with a beautiful house. Every decor choice within the house feels very thoughtful and it definitely added to the overall ambiance of the house and made the stay pleasant. We had everything we needed and instructions to check were super easy to follow. Love how accommodating the host was of our every need. The beds too were very comfortable and bathrooms spotless. The high ceiling of the house makes the home feel very roomy and not too congested like some airbnbs we have been to before. 5 stars from our side

We were so lucky to find Hisham's place last minute for an unexpected funeral. The house was roomy and looked as good as the photos! He was responsive before booking, giving us permission to fit our family. They only issue we had was there was a toilet that wasn't working in the master bathroom which Nadia quickly assisted us with and it was resolved. There was also a broken window which did not affect the house at all as it was one of a double paned window, but it would have saved me a little panic if I knew in advance haha. The location was excellent! It was a nice small cul de sac and even though it was very very close to shops, it was absolutely peaceful and quiet. The stairs were a little steep, so be careful with your small children. We didn't have any major issues. The house was very clean and comfortable. Hisham and Nadia were compassionate to our situation, very kind, and very responsive. Would definitely stay again!!!

This is our favorite place to stay in Santa Cruz. There are little markets walking distance, some restaurants but the best part is the ocean is right there 2minute walk! Also, if the ocean is too cold for us adults to get in, the house has a jacuzzi for us to enjoy in the evening. In the mornings, I enjoy sitting on the balcony listening to the birds and smelling the ocean breeze while I enjoy my hot cup of coffee. Great place to take the family. The host is very responsive.

This is by far the perfect beach getaway house! My husband had classes in the area so during the day my daughter and dog could walk right to the beach! There is even a museum right in walking distance I took my daughter to twice. And the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk is only a ten minute walk which we did another day! The Airbnb itself was beautifully decorated with a wonderful shower and a clawfoot tub. The outdoor area was so great to relax in as well. This place was stocked with beach chairs and toys and extra towels and even sunblock. Everything we could need. In fact we loved it so much we extended our stay. Yvonne was SO responsive and friendly and really made our vacation just completely hassle free and perfect. I can see why this place is always booked!

Sarah’s house was beautiful- clean and lots of room. There was enough space for us to be together and space for alone time. There were 8 of us. Sarah had made some recommendations for dinners and places to go. We did try a couple of them and the Mexican restaurant and ice cream place was delicious . We had one issue with hot water and Sarah responded immediately and issue was resolved in a timely manner. The house was a little farther from Santa Cruz than we were used to but it only took 20 minutes get there. The area where the house was located was quiet and close to the ocean. We genuinely loved our time in Aptos. Would stay again .

We love this place. They have thought of everything you will need from life vests and beach toys for the kids to parchment paper to cook with. All you need to bring is your own food and clothing and your set. Great location to walk down to the beach or go over to Marriannes for some ice cream. It is clean and cozy and we can't wait to come back.

Andrew was a great host who was responsive and proactive. The space was comfortable, quiet and within walking distance of the ocean. The king sized bed was comfortable. There is a small kitenette with a mini-fridge. Parking is on the street in front of the unit. We were very happy with our stay and highly recommend this for your visit to Santa Cruz!

Joyce’s place was clean and had a really great location. We thought we were right on the Cliff so that was kind of a bummer to have a house in front of our ocean view. But the place was really nice, and very clean! The space was really cool and had great decoration. Beds were comfortable. Kids were happy. We loved playing in the hot tub and in the garden in the backyard.

My family had a great time . The house is beautiful and the location couldn’t be better . Thank you for helping us make amazing memories.

Absolutely gorgeous place! Extremely clean and well maintained. Kathleen's instructions were spot on and she quickly responded to any questions that I had. It was nice to stay here for my kid's birthday weekend. I highly recommend this beautiful home. ☺️
