Thunder Mountain Guest Cabin

Thunder Mountain Cabin is located on the property of Thunder Mountain adventures. The property is right next door to Tweedsmuir Provincial park in the Bella Coola Valley. Almost 1 million hectares of wilderness flank our property to the north and east. Our property consists of paddocks, open fields and an arena for our Icelandic horseback riding program surrounded by cedar and fir forest. We have a large organic garden 60 x 60, and an orchard. While we are a working equestrian property with trail rides, riding lessons and three guest accommodation units, it is still our home and we still manage to maintain a peaceful wilderness vibe with views of the Coast Mountain range to the south. We are literally steps away from the Nuxalk-Carrier grease trail and the Mackenzie Heritage loop trail with it suspension bridge over the burnt bridge creek. Thunder Mountain cabin is a comfortable cabin with great views from the deck and living area. The cabin comfortably sleeps a small family or a couple of friends with a queen bed in the bedroom, a double bed in the loft and a fold out bed in the living room. The loft is assessible by a ladder and is therefor not appropriate for very young children. The cabin has a small kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, dinnerware, glasses and cutlery. There are basic herbs/spices and a selection of tea and coffee in the cupboards.

The property is a mixed organic farm with crops, chickens, cattle and pastured pigs so meat and produce may be available depending on the season.

We had a wonderfull glamping experience. Everything was perfect! If only we could have stayed longer... thanks for this once in a lifetime experience. We were so close to the Atnarko river to see grizzlies. We did grocery shopping on our way out, so we could spent all our time in this beautifull area. We had our own cooked breakfast and diners in this beautiful scenerie. If you want to see the grizzlies in salmonseason, go for it at the viewingplatform and Fisheries pool campground. Be patient! We had 6 viewings during our 3 night stay. If you want a luxury romantic stay with a beautifull view, do not hesitate any longer. There was also a restaurant close by if you are not into cooking, but Rebecca can tell you probably more about. Thanks to both of you for our wonderfull stay!

The teepee made our trip to Bella Coola an adventure. A spectacular setting, warm and friendly host, and as good as it looks in the pictures. We were even surprised when the weather took a turn and we remained comfortable, warm and cozy despite the downpour! Top marks for one of the most comfortable sleeps ever!

Cozy private little cabin nestled in the woods. The cabin had everything we needed and more. A definite favourite was the book selection for evening reading infront of the fire. Will book this place again.
