This is where the African bush comes to you. Villa Yingwe is our intimate bush villa for up to 4 guests, right on the border of Kruger National Park. From your private terrace, you overlook the bush and a waterhole just 18 metres away, regularly visited by wildlife. Enjoy the peace and privacy, unwind in your private hot tub and experience the bush without leaving your terrace. Phalaborwa Gate is only 15 minutes away.
The space
Villa Yingwe is a private, detached bush villa for up to 4 guests, created for those who value peace, privacy and being close to nature.
The villa has two spacious bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, while the second bedroom has two single beds that can also be arranged together.
The open-plan living area includes a comfortable lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. Large doors connect the interior with the spacious covered terrace, where you can dine, relax or simply watch the bush.
And this is what makes Yingwe truly special. A waterhole lies just 18 metres from the terrace and regularly attracts wildlife. Impala, waterbuck, warthogs and many bird species are frequent visitors, while elephants and other wildlife may also appear.
Outside, you also have your own private hot tub, braai and boma with fire pit. The estate has two communal swimming pools and a tennis court.
Yingwe isn't a villa you have to leave every day to experience Africa. Some of the most memorable moments happen simply by sitting on the terrace and waiting to see what the bush brings to you.
Guest access
During your stay, Villa Yingwe is entirely yours. You have exclusive access to the whole villa, both bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and outdoor showers, the kitchen and living areas, terrace, private hot tub, braai and boma.
You can also enjoy the shared facilities of Silonque Holiday Estate, including two swimming pools, a tennis court and viewpoint.
Wildlife roams freely throughout the estate. The waterhole is there for you to observe animals from a safe distance and is not an area for guests to approach on foot.
Other things to note
Villa Yingwe is located on a private wildlife estate bordering Kruger National Park. Wild animals roam freely and may come very close to the villa. This is part of what makes staying here so special, but always keep a safe distance and never approach or feed wildlife.
The final kilometres to Silonque Holiday Estate are on an unpaved road. A 4x4 is not required, but drive slowly and allow a little extra time.
You are staying in the African bush. Insects, geckos and other small creatures are a natural part of this environment and may occasionally be found in or around the villa.
Yingwe has solar power and battery backup during power outages. Essential services remain available, but high-consumption appliances such as the air conditioning and cooktop do not operate from the backup system.
The hot tub is private, while the swimming pools, tennis court and other estate facilities are shared.
Before arrival, you will receive access to our Guest App with directions, check-in instructions and practical information for your stay. We recommend having a look through it before travelling to the estate.

Where you’ll be
Phalaborwa, Limpopo, South Africa
Villa Yingwe is located on Silonque Holiday Estate, directly bordering Kruger National Park and surrounded by the African bush. Phalaborwa Gate is approximately 15 minutes away, making it easy to enter the park early in the morning for a safari.
The town of Phalaborwa is also around 15 minutes away and offers supermarkets, shops, restaurants and other everyday amenities.
There is plenty to explore beyond Kruger too. Take a day trip to the spectacular Blyde River Canyon and Panorama Route, discover the lush Magoebaskloof area or explore the surroundings of Hoedspruit.
But you don't have to go anywhere to enjoy the bush. At Silonque, wildlife roams freely, and you can enjoy the natural surroundings, viewpoint and swimming pools. Sometimes the best safari simply starts from your own terrace.

We are Mireille and Guido from the Netherlands. We run a business together and share a great love for South Africa and the bush. Our villas near Kruger Park are our favorite place to recharge together. Because we can't be there year-round, we are happy to share this special place with other travelers. At home, we enjoy exercising and are involved with Showband Doe Maar, a drum band for people with intellectual disabilities.
