Welcome to WNC Hobbit Homestead, a unique modern tiny 'hobbit house' located on a bucolic 9 acre farm in Western North Carolina. The tiny earthen roof home is 385 SF with living / kitchen, separate bedroom, and bathroom. Floor to ceiling glass faces amazing view of mountains. Cedar hot tub, fire pit, miniature wood stove, and friendly farm animals are among the unique amenities offered at this one-of-a-kind agritourism experience.

The space
The house includes heating and a/c, but with the passive earth insulation, the space stays quite cozy. With the murphy bed and convertible sofa, the space can actually sleep 4.

Guest access
Note that the property access is via gravel driveway. 4 wheel drive is NOT required to get up the driveway, but it may be a little bumpy.

Guest may have guided access to our farm animals - including mini-donkeys, goats, pigs, cats, dogs, and chickens. Farm-fresh eggs are included (when available). Behaved dog friendly ($35 per pet)

Other things to note
The property is NOT disability friendly. You must be mobile / able enough to navigate 35 gravel / timber steps to get down to the house. There is roughly a 60' grade change from the driveway to the house entry. Note that the home sits in a natural setting, so there are no paved sidewalks and the parking spot is not directly next to the tiny house. This is intentional as we strive to keep the experience rustic / agrarian. Review our map in the photos. If you are uncomfortable with this, please consider other Airbnb options. Please do not drive past the driveway to get closer. We can help with bags if needed
