Step into a light-filled 1940s mountain bungalow with long-range Blue Ridge views, a covered front porch, fire pit, pet-friendly yard, and easy access to Downtown Canton, Waynesville, Asheville, and I-40. This 2-bedroom home is a comfortable base for couples, small families, remote workers, and guests traveling with dogs who want mountain views without being far from town.

The space
This home is bright, comfortable, and set up for an easy mountain getaway. The main living area has large windows, comfortable seating, a smart TV, board games, and beautiful mountain views from inside the home.

The kitchen is fully equipped for simple meals, morning coffee, or dinner after a day exploring Asheville, Waynesville, Canton, or the Blue Ridge Parkway. A drip coffee maker is provided, and the dining area works well for meals, games, or casual laptop time.

The home has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and one full bathroom. It is a good fit for couples, small families, friends, or guests traveling for work.

There is a workspace just off the kitchen for guests who need to answer emails, take a call, or work remotely during their stay. The home also includes a washer and dryer, making it convenient for longer stays or mountain adventures.

Outside, guests can enjoy the covered porch facing the woods, mountain views, yard, and fire pit area. It is a great spot for morning coffee, evening drinks, or relaxing after hiking, sightseeing, or visiting nearby breweries and restaurants.

The home is pet friendly with prior approval and the applicable pet fee. The yard is not fenced, so pets will need to be supervised outdoors.

Please note that this is an older mountain home, so guests should expect some vintage character. It is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, but it is not new construction

The driveway is shared with the separate above-garage rental behind the home. No indoor or yard spaces are shared.

The yard is not fenced, so pets and children should be supervised outdoors. The fire pit and outdoor areas are available for guest use, but please bring your own firewood and make sure all fires are fully extinguished before leaving the area or going inside.

Neighborhood highlights

The home is located down a family-oriented cul-de-sac, on a quiet street 1/2 a mile from Downtown Canton. Art Deco w/Mountain View's is located in front of a separate above garage apartment. Please note, the drive way is shared with both homes.

Located along the serene banks of the pigeon river, Downtown Canton is sure to impress with it's rich history and culture. Without the crowds of larger cities, enjoy the local brewery, restaurants and quaint shops. Canton recreation park, located 1/2 a mile from main street boasts children's activities, fishing, handicap accessible, picnic area, playground, tennis, trails – hiking / walking, water access and swimming pool.

A lovely 20 minute drive takes you to Waynesville or 25 minutes into West Asheville - both known for restaurants, breweries and live music. Drive up 276 South to Shining Rock or the East Fork hiking trails. Or head up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and ride along the spine of the Blue Ridge mountains to scenic overlooks in both directions.
