This amazing 1898 two story home surrounded by stone wall is one of the oldest & most recognized in downtown Wise, 1 block from Main St. The columned porch, foyers & winding staircase remind guests of a bygone era. 2nd floor ensuite offers a king bed, Jacuzzi, steam shower, fridge, Keurig, microwave & TV. Near Devil's Bathtub, High Knob, Guest River Gorge, Mountain Rose Vineyard. UVA-WISE. Hr to Bristol Casino, Bristol Races & Barter Theatre. Central A/C & heat are modern touches guests love!
The space
Driveway parking is located within the stone wall at the side of the home via Masonic Street. Guests enter through the iron gate into the private backyard where the electronic guest entrance is opened using an exclusive 4 digit code. The guest staircase leads to the 2nd floor Victorian Spa EnSuite
Ease into the realm of peaceful quarters which include the guest foyer with 12 foot ceilings, a hospitality station with round glass top table, wide slot toaster, bottled water, snacks & Keurig pods
Brochures, maps and lists of dining and outdoor activities are provided
With only three bedrooms (2 adults or 1 parent & 1 child 10 & older per room), Nottingham Place provides historic Victorian charm - an exquisite alternative. Rooms can be booked separately or book all 3. The entire floor is perfect for friends, family and couples traveling together
Guests seeking privacy and romance retreat to the Victorian Spa EnSuite with king bed, fridge w juices & sodas, microwave & Keurig, antique mirrored vanity, remote control electric fireplace, lighted ceiling fan, comfy recliner chair, floor lamp, tufted bench, TV and warm wood floors. The spacious EnSuite bathroom has a well lit dual sink vanity, hair dryer, two closets with guest robes, a Jacuzzi tub and the rare Fiat steam shower for detoxifying luxury. Leave your cares behind and treat yourself and your loved one.
Outside, relax on the columned front porch as the occasional neighbor passes by, walking their pet. Nothing compares - Small town charm is all yours!

Sitting on the covered & columned front porch offers a view of folks driving by or walkers out for a stroll - some with their leashed pets. You might get a chance to meet the neighbors - truly some of the nicest people on the planet. They look after one another. Enjoy a chat with them across the stone wall or iron fence. Take a leisurely walk along Main Street as you get to know the neighborhood. You'll want to return again and again to explore and experience the seasons and charms of this cozy small town. While guests will enjoy a peaceful, relaxing room, the home is only 1 block from downtown Main Street Wise with UVa-Wise just around the corner. This historic home offers seclusion amidst the ocassional small town flurry of activities - an outdoor concert at the Big Glade amphitheater, the annual street festival -Wise Fall Fling, or the town's Christmas parade - southwest Virginia has plenty to offer.
