The space
🥳 We're so excited for your trip! PLEASE NOTE: We take guest security and safety seriously - no fraudulent bookings. Guests must complete an easy, online hotel-style check-in with a Rental Agreement, ID check, and a security deposit—You can opt for a $59 damage waiver (covers accidental breaks, mishaps) or a refundable $1000 hold—whichever you prefer! Full details in House Rules.
This very rural cabin is nestled down a dirt road on 35 private wooded acres, overlooking the river below. We call it Windy Knoll Adventure for a reason — this home is off the beaten path, quiet, and intentionally removed from the hustle of everyday life.
This is the perfect stay for guests who enjoy seclusion, nature, and adventure, and who are comfortable with rural properties and gravel access roads. If you’re looking for a polished resort or easy in-and-out access, this may not be the right fit — and that’s okay.
Important Note: Our dock was recently damaged and is currently being repaired and updated. You are welcome to walk down and enjoy the river views, but there is no dock to stand on at this time. Updates coming soon. (8/7/2025)
To enhance your stay, we’ve added a hot tub for the winter, offering a relaxing way to unwind while enjoying scenic mountain and river views from above.
Windy Knoll is best suited for guests who appreciate nature, privacy, and a true escape from the world.
***Winter Reservations*** if you are booking in a month where snowfall is possible AWD/4WD is needed. We STRONGLY recommend packing tire chains.
AWD/4WD vehicle strongly recommended in any season – 1.8-mile gravel road through gated development

WAIVER OF LIABILITY FOR USE OF HOT TUB
The guests agree to use extreme caution and care in the hot tub on the premises and to pay any and all repair charges for damage to the hot tub and/or property caused by the guests.
Guests further agree that everyone using a hot tub will shower and clean feet upon the use of the hot tub.
Furthermore, the agreement is made that NO oils, bubble bath, soaps, other liquids, or any other harmful materials will be used in the hot tub.
No glass products whatsoever are allowed in or around the hot tub. If any items such as soaps, bath products, food, alcohol, etc. are found in the tub, the guest will be charged a cleaning fee of $200.
Damage to a hot tub cover will result in a $400 charge. The cover should remain on the hot tub at all times when not in use. Guests agree that there will be no horseplay in the hot tub as well as not to sit on, jump on, or misuse the hot tub cover in any manner.
Guests acknowledge and accept the risks inherent in the use of the hot tub. Guests voluntarily assume the risk of injury, accident, death, personal injury, or property damage that may arise from the use of the hot tub. By using the hot tub guests agree to follow all house rules associated with it and release the host/property owner from any and all claims, liability, or losses whatsoever arising out of or in any way associated with the guests' use of the hot tub, including but not limited to death, personal injury, or property damage, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence.
Other things to note
Please note - we are rural property but you can see and hear things from the town like i66, and a train that runs twice a day across the river. Most don't even notice it. While most are fine to drive in in a sedan into the property, please dont bring a very lowered vehicle. You’ll be in the middle of the woods with very tight narrow heavily wooded roads that are steep, and curvy! Part of the adventure! ☺️
