The Wind-Up Bird House is perfect location to find inner peace undisturbed with stress and unrest of everyday life.
Our home is a wonderful place in a safe and friendly place. We believe our Wind-Up Bird vacation home is for special and mindful people!
We offer a cozy 3 bedroom wooden house with a huge, sunny wooden deck by the river & close to the sea. Wonderful for relaxation, meditation, yoga – or to participate in the tranquility of the river.

The space
3 cozy rooms on the first floor, two of them with air conditioning and fitted wardrobes for your things. All the windows have new, well-functioning mosquito nets. Curtains and shutters can darken the rooms and provide a long sleep if necessary.
Via the river terrace you enter the house. On the first floor, with large windows over the terrace to the river, is the large kitchen-living room. With plenty of room to cook. Armchairs & couch provide plenty of relaxation in the living area - also with air conditioning...
The house has a canopy on three sides, under which you can comfortably enjoy the silence and freshness even in the rain.
A sun sail provides shade on the huge wooden deck, and you can easily get out of the water after swimming.

After sunset, it gets very dark by the river, individual lights on the houses around it are unusual - and remember to bring a flashlight so you can safely find your way back to the house after dark.

Noises and conversations are far from the wide river - so you should dampen confidential conversations at the terrace and not be angry if you can hear the neighboring conversations clearly.

I am from Hamburg, was "deported" to Swabian at the age of 4 and was at home in the world for over 20 years (professional motorcycle trips). Before that, I did a carpenter/carpenter's apprenticeship and assembled solar panels in the 90s with a few pioneers of the solar industry. Late and perhaps unusual, I did a bachelor's degree in tourism & leisure business, and put on another master's degree in Tourism & Entrepreneurship... uff. Interested? I'm interested in the same thing: for tourism, wholeheartedly and for traveling, which I haven't come to privately, the last few years. Motorcycling is great for me, and I rarely come to that either. Since 2016, I have been a lecturer in destination management at various universities of applied sciences and am still interested in all kinds of management and tourism - so you can say, I am very happy to read, also "normal" stuff - I am a little Krimi addictive. Meditating has become a sweet, regular act and the interest in Buddhist views has awakened for many samsaric years. Well, so far, a little impression. Herzlichst Jue Born in Hamburg, Germany and at age 4 "dragged" to south Germany (swabian) I have been at home in the world working as a professional tour guide on motorcycle tours for 20 year. An earlier carreer was based on an apprenticeship as a joiner and cabinet maker plus pioneering in the solar panel business in the early 90ties. Pretty late and unusual to a certain extend I graduated as a Bachelor of Arts in Business enhanced by a Master degree in Tourism Entrepreneurship. Interested in...? Well, I'm interested in exactly that: Tourism with all my heart and travelling which I haven't had a lot of opportunity to do for the past years. Motorcycling still is pretty big for me - but kinda short on time for it. I love to learn about all kinds of managerial and tourism issues so I may well claim that I love to read. I`m sorta Crime-fiction addicted ... Meditation and receiving teachings in buddhism has become increasingly important.
