[Freeport Maine reg.# STRR-2024-30 ] Welcome to our dog-centric organic habitat! Guests have the comfy first floor studio of our split level home, with private entrance and fenced yard. We live upstairs. Stays can include humane dog training coaching sessions with award winning trainer or just enjoy Bliss Woods Farm’s organic gardens, trails, and lovely tidal beaches 2 miles away! Twenty minutes to Portland or Brunswick, with dog excursions nearby! Great paddle boarding & biking.

The space
Our organic gardens are nested layers of fenced in gardens that allow you to safely manage your dog and condition positive emotional response to training. In season, you can pick flowers, berries, salad, or practice run throughs in the agility field.

Your room is equipped with crates and gates if you use them. Our facility of fields, fenced training yards and trainer lounge/barn is surrounded by 3 miles of preserved woodland trails. We are 1.7 miles to Winslow Park (a dog friendly waterfront park, where the tidal waters are warm and very swimmable) and 3 miles in the opposite direction to LLBean's flagship store and factory store. We are only 1 mile to S Freeport Village, the marina and maybe the best fried clams in the world! We're a 20 minute drive to Portland's waterfront and the ferries to Casco Bay Islands.

Guest access
If you have trained in all the agility equipment, you are welcome to independently use all our equipment in the agility yard. Otherwise, please play safe and train with Jenny . Our private living quarters are upstairs, and we also have our own private entrance and yard.

Other things to note
We have organic gardens where guests are invited to enjoy whatever we have in season. Sometimes we might be flush with tomatoes, other times we could be making elderberry syrup or drying herbs and flowers for wreaths. Right now we’re up to our ears in strawberries and rhubarb!

We do have boats, we’re happy to get you out on the water, just ask!

Neighborhood highlights

We are an organic subsistance farm, growing approximately 50% of the food we eat, and we are happy to share. Winslow Park (tidal estuary and beach) is a short bike ride ( 2 miles) away. You are welcome to pick berries or flowers or herbs, enjoy the gardens and leave your dog here while you enjoy swimming at a Winslow Park. Bliss Woods Trails here are dog friendly, but not TOO friendly! Bring bug off clothing for venturing into the woods, where mosquitos can swarm! Bliss Woods surrounds our farm, it’s a preserved forestry area with approximately 3 miles of dog friendly trails. We are about 1 mile to the S. Freeport marina, the YMCA, restaurants, 3 miles to downtown Freeport and LLBean. We're barely a 20 minute drive to Portland’s East End Beach (dogs welcome off leash before 8 am and after 5 pm) and the trail to the downtown Portland. We're on a fairly busy road but our property is entirely fenced in. You can just open the door and let your dog(s) outside with no worries. We are a training club and guests are sometimes training under the tent or in the agility yard, so just close gates behind you and if you see an unfamiliar car in the driveway, be aware that you might be sharing a space with a member of our dog club (Whole Dog Camp) . You have two private gardens, but there are 9 separately fenced gardens. After leaving your private garden, leash your dog until you know you have a garden to yourself, and close all gates behind you. You can walk through woodland trails from here all the way into downtown Freeport if you wanted! Lovely, though rugged in places, woodland trails right out our back door,
