Disconnect to reconnect in this ADNZ-awarded, uncertified passive cabin on 10 acres of regenerative land (spray free) with fruit and nut trees, swans and birdlife, a running glacial creek and private lake, magnificent mountains and dark sky stargazing.

Located 7 minutes drive out of Glenorchy on the edge of the Rees Valley. We face towards Te Wähipounamu, an UNESCO South West Aotearoa New Zealand World Heritage area. Our cabin is 20 minutes drive from the Routeburn Track.

The space
Tucked away on a private property, the cabin overlooks a serene lake shaped like a stingray. In Māori culture, the stingray (whai) is a powerful symbol of protection, resilience, and spiritual connection, often regarded as a kaitiaki—a guardian of place and people.

This is a special sanctuary for those seeking to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with themselves and nature.

The cabin features a spacious one-bedroom layout with a king bed, plus a cozy mezzanine level that can accommodate an additional adult or two children—ideal for couples, solo travellers, or small families looking for a restorative escape.

🛜 To help our guests truly unwind, we’ve chosen not to provide Wi-Fi. There is occasional mobile reception on-site, and reliable 4G/5G coverage is available just 7 minutes away in Glenorchy township.
