With fantastic sea views across Warrior Square Gardens, this beautiful, spacious apartment offers truly elegant accommodation. Located in the heart of St Leonards, moments from the beach and Goat Ledge, a multitude of wonderful independent shops, restaurants, galleries, cafes and pubs. The apartment offers two double bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a very spacious light and airy reception/dining space and a beautifully designed bathroom.
The space
It is a beautiful, calm space, designed with little to distract the eye from the stunning sea views.
The main reception room has two large sofas, a vintage chair, plus a breakfast table and chairs overlooking the sea. The TV is discretely tucked away behind the large kitchen door and can be brought out when required. A guest information folder is provided that contains instructions for appliances and explains where things are kept in the apartment. We highly recommend reading through upon arrival.
There are reference books on design and photography and some helpful recipes.
The adjoining kitchen, separated by large double doors, has generous high storage cabinets and a steady ladder for the harder-to-reach shelves, a Bosch oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee maker.
Cutlery is stored inside the grey drawer under the worktop hidden inside the top kitchen drawer. Plates, saucepans, various glasses, mugs, utensils, cooking oil, salt, pepper, coffee and tea are also provided.
The hallway has a large mirror and coat rack. The utility room houses the washing machine, mini vacuum, microwave, ironing board, iron, plus a first aid kit.
The simple, elegant bathroom has been carefully designed with luxurious details, including a relaxing bath and refreshing rainfall and hand-held shower, a sink, a mirror, and the toilet.
Body wash, shampoo and conditioner, cotton waffle towels, washed linen dressing gown, hairdryer, toilet rolls, cotton wool, vanity mirror and non slip bath mat are all provided.
The two double bedrooms continue the theme of simplicity with comfortable standard double beds (135cm wide x 190cm long) with natural-washed linen bedding. Reading lamps, movable fans, chairs, clothing rails and hangers are provided. There are two blinds: a light-reducing blind, which offers defused light and a blackout blind. The front room has sea views and the back bedroom has street views.
The building was converted in the 90's and although the communal entrance hall and stairs, are clean, clutter free and bright, its not the prettiest of spaces, but once your in, just relax and enjoy the sea views and the wonderful calm interiors.
Guest access
The sitting room, kitchen, bathroom, utility and both bedrooms are fully accessible to guests. The space can be booked as a one bed and is available on a separate listing so please enquire if this is more suitable for your needs.
There are no circumstances in which two parties can ever book the same space.
Other things to note
The property is on the 2nd floor and has a beautiful historic regency-style balcony with stunning views. However, the railings are lower than those required by modern safety regulations so any use of the balcony is at your own risk, and we ask that no more than two people use it at once—no children should be left unattended if the windows are open.
The building's ceilings are very high, so there are many stairs to the second floor. There is no other access, so It may not be suitable if you have mobility problems. Please get in touch with us, and we can discuss any concerns.
It's a popular busy area, so parking can be problematic, but there is unrestricted parking directly outside the building, subject to availability; and plenty of other unrestricted parking areas around Warrior Square and the local area.
The very large original, single glazed sash windows can be drafty and will rattle on particularly windy days.
Towels are for the apartment only and may not be taken to the beach or used to remove makeup (cotton wool is provided)
A travel cot is available upon request.
Our check-in window is between 3 and 5 pm, but we regularly allow early access if the apartment is ready; this is not guaranteed but we try to help where we can.
