Ideal for couples or a quiet retreat, this elevated hideaway invites guests to unwind and reconnect with nature. Perched 15 feet above the ground, Wanderlust Treehouse is a private, adults-only retreat designed for a quiet, elevated escape in nature. For safety reasons, this property is not suitable for children.

Located approximately 20 minutes from I-65, the treehouse is about one hour from Birmingham or Huntsville and 10 minutes from a Smith Lake boat launch, with ample parking for a boat. A curated Airbnb Guidebook is available with nearby attractions including waterfalls, hiking, horseback riding, and outdoor recreation within 30–60 minutes.

This is a luxury glamping experience. The kitchenette is not a full kitchen; please review included amenities carefully prior to booking.

For health reasons, the treehouse is a strictly animal-free property.

Outdoor showers are closed December 1 – February 28 due to freezing temperatures.

The entrance and lake area are shared with the sister property, Wild Soul, located over 325 yards away, offering complete privacy at each treehouse.

Each of our treehouses are completely private nestled within 40 acres. Only the drive/entrance and lake will be shared.

Other things to note
NO WIFI OR TV It is encouraged that you are there to getaway from it all.
WE PROVIDE:

Wanderlust is set up for normal housekeeping, the properties will have hairdryers; cleaning products; or toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags and soaps intended to last for the duration of your stay. Each rental property is furnished with a starter set of paper products for your first night. This set includes one roll of paper towels, a small bottle of liquid dish soap, one can liner per trash can, one travel size hand soap and body soap per bathroom and one roll of bathroom tissue in each bathroom. Please bring extras.

Neighborhood highlights

We are located within 10 minutes of Lake access and boat launches. 20 minutes from I65. We have lots of waterfalls, hiking trails, etc within just a few minutes to an hours drive that I include in our Guidebook with directions. The 40 acre property is absolutely private ! Treehouse is located up in the woods with no one around.
Keep in mind that our 2 acre lake is seasonal depending on rainfall during certain times of the year.

Hi There! My husband and I have a great love for the outdoors and especially Smith Lake! We have always enjoyed bringing our family together with weekend getaways and hope you will be able to do the same. We have a business in a town nearby which we have had for 28 years. We have been in the automotive industry and enjoy hosting every chance we get. But there is one thing that we love the most in life and that’s being able to make great memories!
