Stay in a private apartment on our historic riverside eco-farm beside the Dão River. Swim, paddle, explore the forest, watch wildlife, and enjoy the peace of this natural setting.

The space
This private apartment is set in a beautifully restored traditional Portuguese granite building, combining rustic character with comfort. The open-plan space features a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, cozy living room, and a comfortable double bed. It has a private bathroom.

Outside, you'll find your own private garden with a terrace and seating area.

Guests are welcome to explore the farm, with access to the river beach, stand-up paddle boards, outdoor kitchen, forest trails, and other shared outdoor spaces.

Moinhos do Dão is an ongoing restoration and eco-farm project. While you'll enjoy your private apartment and plenty of privacy, you may see volunteers and daily farm life during your stay.

The nearest village is about 10 minutes by car (30-minute walk) away and has cafés and a small minimarket. Larger supermarkets, restaurants, and other services can be found in Mangualde (25 minutes by car) or Viseu (35 minutes).

The last part of the journey is along a gravel road. It is suitable for normal cars, but we recommend driving slowly and carefully.
