The space
This spacious, 5-bedroom lodge is the perfect place for you to unwind as you breathe fresh mountain air and reconnect with nature. Get away from the hustle and bustle of your daily routine on beautiful Palomar Mountain, while still enjoying all the modern amenities and comforts of home. Sip your morning coffee or tea from the comfy patio furniture on our expansive deck while you enjoy the expansive views all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Our Lodge is kid friendly, so it is perfect for families to come and spend quality time together. Our guests enjoy playing games, reading books, bird-watching, stargazing, cycling, family dinners, and taking hikes. Kids will enjoy the swing set, snow play, sledding, books and games just for them, and wildlife sightings while getting to explore and play on the 17+ acres. You can even see deer outside of your bedroom window! Enjoy nature and your loved ones without the stresses of modern life.

The lodge is all yours, so enjoy a relaxing stroll as you explore the 17+ acres of tranquil meadows and woodlands surrounding Upper Meadow Lodge. If you need more room, the property also has a smaller cottage for two available only to Lodge guests, and a larger cabin that rents separately and sleeps up to four. While you may be sharing the nearly 18 acres, there's plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.

You can find miles of inspiring hiking trails within driving distance at breathtaking Palomar State Park. Water activities such as fishing or boating are also available at nearby Lake Henshaw and Doane Pond. Stargazers love to come to Palomar Mountain as it is known for being one of the most phenomenal places to see stars…There is even a famous Observatory within driving distance!
