Our homestay offers a unique and budget-friendly stay just a short walk from Watamu Beach. The studio apartments and family units are designed for comfort, simplicity, and a true coastal experience.

What we offer:
• Self-catering apartments with kitchen facilities
• En-suite rooms with ceiling fans and mosquito nets
• Spacious compound with swimming pool, chill bar, and garden
• Centrally located: ~10 minutes’ walk to the beach and ~30 minutes’ drive from Malindi Airport

Important to note before booking:
• Hot water is not available in the property. Showers are at room temperature.
• Cats live in the compound and you may also hear neighborhood dogs, which is part of the local coastal environment.
• Power supply in Watamu may sometimes be affected by local maintenance, and we do not have a backup generator.

Our property is warm, relaxed, and social — perfect for travelers who value authenticity and don’t mind a rustic coastal touch.

• Our property has a shared compound with other units, but your studio remains private with an exclusive balcony space.
• Pool hours are open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM for all guests.
• Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM to ensure a peaceful environment for everyone.
• We can assist with arranging local tours, transfers, and activities upon request.
• For any special requests, feel free to contact us prior to your arrival so we can better prepare for your stay.

Twiga Studio is centrally located exactly opposite Crystal Bay Resort, in Watamu, Kenya. This beautiful two bedroom space features antique designs, offering a stunning balcony with a beautiful tropical view. If you're a morning person you will be able to enjoy the daily African sunrise right from your balcony as well as moonrise later at night (on days when the moon is full). The stunning Watamu beach is just a five minutes walk away and features award winning restaurants such as Visiwa Beach resort.

Other nearby attractions include Tamu Restaurant right across the road, Bio-Ken Snake Farm is also a short distance walk from the villa for those in love with reptiles. For party people, the famous Paparemo Beach Party that takes place every Saturday of the week is just a ten minutes walk away. Opposite Paparemo beach there is paddle boarding. There is also a golf club right across the road from Tembo Village villa.
