Tuumben Kuxtal means "new life" in Mayan, and the ranch is a beautiful place to experience something different, and magical. You will have a private villa that walks out to a private full-size pool and a palapa with hammocks for relaxation in total tranquility. The ranch is approximately 130 acres, and features a freshwater cenote, trails, a small functioning ranch, and a seasonal pond. Our central location is perfect for exploring the ruins, beaches, and towns of the region.

The space
The ranch is private and secluded, but with easy access to the major attractions in the Yucatan. Sucila, Tizimin, Espita, and San Felipe are home to amazing local cuising, and there are wonderful local cenotes, including a local favorite, Cenote Armadillo, for swimming and exploring.

We are within 70 miles of the iconic ruins of Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, the bioreserve at Rio Largartos, the unique pink waters of Las Coloradas, the secluded beaches and kitesurfing adventures in El Cuyo, the historic churches and architecture of Valladolid, and so much more. Just a bit more travel, and you are in the unique "Yellow City" of Izamal, with one of the tallest pyramids in the Yucatan, Kinich Kak Moo. Or visit Homun, home to dozens of beautiful cenotes and natural attractions. There are so many adventures to be had, and Tuumben Kuxtal is in the middle of it all!

We can arrange personalized tours, provided in English or Spanish, and can arrange for all your transportation and excursions.

Guest access
On the ranch, you will have full access to the private villa, the palapa, barbeque and outdoor dining area, the private pool, the orchard, and all the garden areas. For the adventuresome, you can check out our small, natural cenote, and can even jump in to cool off (climbing out of the cenote requires a bit of physical fitness, so it is not for the faint of heart!)

You can explore the ranch as much as you would like. We have chickens, ducks, sheep, dogs, turtles, and fish pond, and of course, the jungle all around. You may see a wide variety of wild animals in the area, including coati, iguanas, geckos, frogs, toads, deer, wild hogs, foxes, rabbits, butterflies, multitudes of birds, and more! We have some parts of the jungle cleared for easy walks around the ranch area, but for the truly hearty you can grab a machete and explore to your heart's content!

For meals, the cabana has a nice kitchen, or we can help with arrangement for meals, both on the ranch and in town. There are wonderful locations for many different types of tacos, quesadillas, tortas, tamales, and local favorites like cochinita pibil, panuchos, salbutes, papadzules, poc chuk, marquesitas, and so much more! There are local chefs who can provide private meals at the cabana, or we can take you to town to experience the local flair.

Other things to note
Travel to the Ranch can be arranged in a variety of ways. You can rent a car and travel to the ranch via the main highway to Merida (it is a toll road), or via the smaller free roadways passing through many quaint towns on the way. We can arrange for transport from the airport, or for a little extra fun on your trip, you can take the Tren Maya to voyage from Cancun to Valladolid, and we can arrange transport for the final leg to the ranch.
