Great location

Guests who stayed here in the past year loved the location.
Cornwall’s best kept secret. Hidden away in the historic mining town of Redruth are 2 stunning shepherd huts with everything you need to make your stay cosy and relaxing. The comfiest bed, softest towels to beautiful paddock garden, this has everything. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or a stay with your bestie THIS IS IT! It's an ideal base for visiting both North and South coasts of Cornwall, close to the shops and a few cheeky takeaways.

The space
We are a short stroll away from the Great Flat Load, which offers many great walks. We are a 20 minute car journey away from Falmouth and a 10 minute car journey to our nearest beach at Portreath, which sits on the north coast. There are many amenities near to us, which makes collecting your shopping, going out for a meal or a stroll very easy.

To ensure you have a relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable stay. We feel we have created a balance between rural, rustic charm and have added little touches of luxury. Facilities include:

Double bed with super comfy mattress and linen provided.

An Everhot stove which is super easy to use to keep you warm and cozy on cool evenings.

Mains water toilet and power shower within the shepherd’s hut, with fluffy towels provided.

4G WiFi and a home cinema setup to stream your favourite streaming channels such as Netflix or Amazon Prime (subscription required).

Our huts are fully insulated so useable in all weathers.

Plenty of storage space.

A fully equipped Kitchen which offers a 2 ring hob, kettle, and toaster, fridge, pots/pans, plates, mugs, bowls, glasses and cutlery & utensils.

Free off-road parking spaces are provided for each hut.

Each hut has its own outside seating area.

From June until September there is a fire pit/BBQ provided for each hut.

Guest access
Please feel free to wander around the paddock, but please don’t walk in the gardens of the other hut or areas marked Private. Our hut provides an outside seating area with fire pit/BBQ. You also have access to the adjoining woodland area where the wood fired hot tub is situated. This is for the exclusive use of the Basset hut.

Other things to note
Please note that we are situated near a railway line and you will hear the trains passing by, albeit for a very short time.
