Unbeatable location
100% of guests in the past year gave this location a 5-star rating.
A luxury 3 bedroom apartment over 2 floors boasting magnificent views of Loch Awe with a separate, private entrance. The Tower of Glenstrae was built in 1896 and is split in two. We live on site in the section with the tower itself. Located for easy access to Ben Cruachan and many Munros, the Tower of Glenstrae is an ideal base for walkers, cyclists and those exploring the historic, visually stunning West coast of Scotland. Now with fast broadband and a great local pub is 5mins walk away!
The space
This self-contained apartment with its own entrance has three bedrooms - two with loch views - and a large lounge and dining area with a wood burning stove. The kitchen is modern and spacious with hot water on demand as needed. The main bathroom is upstairs with a power shower, toilet and separate bath. There is a second toilet downstairs with a sink. There's also a wooden decking area for guests with a clear Geodome providing shelter from the elements when sitting outside. We are insured for a maximum of six guests - which includes all children, infants and Babies.
Guest access
Guests will have access to over 2 acres of gardens with two ponds and lots of mature trees and rhododendron plants. From the gardens and one of the bedrooms we have one of the best views in the area of the historic Kilchurn Castle.
Other things to note
Fishing permits for Loch Awe are available from the village store so please ask if that is something you would like to do.

Moved with my wife Maggie from London to beautiful Loch Awe in 2015. Love cycling and walking in the wonderful hills and mountains of Scotland. We have recently taken up gentle kayaking on the local lochs!
