The "Tina Turner" house is located in a beautifully restored building typical of the Sandveld region of the Western Cape. It is located on our family farm, Wagenpad and offers a peaceful retreat for up to three guests.
This house is a perfect blend of modern comfort and authenticity. It is an ideal getaway for anyone looking to escape the rush of the city and immerse themselves in the beauty of the countryside. The farm has Cape mountain Zebra, Springbok and Bontebok guests are likely to see.
The space
This is a renovated traditional Sandveld house. It consists of one large bedroom, furnished with a comfortable double-bed and a second small single bed in the same room for an additional guest or child. The bedroom opens up onto a covered stoep with a garden and a large lawn. There is a cast-iron fireplace in the bedroom.
The cottage has two modern bathrooms, one of which is en-suite to the bedroom and includes a shower and bath. The second bathroom leads from the living room and it includes a shower.
The heart of the cottage is its kitchen/living area, which is fully equipped for self-catering. The cottage runs on solar power and has a gas stove. The kitchen also features a cozy fireplace that adds warmth and ambiance to the space. You can curl up by the fire with a good book or a glass of wine and enjoy the peaceful serenity of the farm.
Leading from the kitchen into the garden, you will enjoy uninterrupted views of the mountain and have access to a braai area. The farm features 20 km of single-track hiking or mountain biking trails in renosterveld fynbos.

Guests have access to the house and also have walking and cycling access to the entire farm. The farm has over 15km of established hiking and mountain biking trails in renosterveld fynbos vegetation. We ask that guests do not drive off the main farm roads.
Other things to note
The solar electricity system is sufficient to charge laptops and cellphones. However, please do not run hair-dryers, electric kettles or appliances requiring more than 300 Watts.
