The Lodge is a beautifully renovated guest house. The property is designed for 2 people. The property offers 1 bedroom and an open-plan living room, including well-equipped kitchen, dining area, a sofa bed, a south facing patio, parking and private entrance. The Lodge is adjacent to the main house and shares a drive. It is located in the heart of Stoke Gabriel village and 7 minutes walk to the river Dart, shops, pubs and the River Shack cafe. Sandridge Barton Vineyard is a 25-minute walk away.

The space
The Lodge has been designed in uncluttered Scandi-inspired style with tranquil colours and plenty of natural light.

Guest access
The Lodge and our own house share a drive, which leads up and behind our house where the guests can park and access the Lodge through their own private entrance. The Lodge has a private patio designed specially for its guests.

Other things to note
We are in the village and within walking distance to all village amenities and the River Dart.

Neighborhood highlights

We are lucky to live in a beautiful village of Stoke Gabriel, South Devon, located between the towns of Paighton and Totnes. The village is by a creek forming an old Mill pool and running into the River Dart. It is in South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with the typical Devon rolling hills, pastures, country lanes and lines of green hedges.

The Quay, where the Mill pool is separated by a veer from the River Dart is the perfect place for children to go crabbing, and there are beautiful walks along the riverbank or through the old apple orchard and winding streets of the village.

This beautiful village retains its historic roots from the 800 year old yew tree (some say it is older!) in the churchyard to its gentle tangle of cottages leading down to the river where locals have fished for Dart Salmon for centuries.

The village is popular with boating enthusiasts because of the ready access to the Dart, perfect for trying your hand at kayaking or paddleboarding. There are woodland and riverside walks and open spaces to enjoy - particularly the Mill Pool, the parish orchard and the prize winning Hoyle Copse. There are 2 pubs, a family run restaurant Emma's, a super grocery store with a post office, a gallery and the River Shack cafe.
