Guests highlight the stunning river views and the peaceful, quiet setting surrounded by nature
Private cabin on the Kenai River +1 acre of private forest for amazing outdoor experience. Private fishing/viewing platforms provide exceptional fishing access, avoiding the need to wade into crowded public areas.
Enjoy incredible river views from the comfort of your living room or decks. On clear days, you can see Denali, the highest mountain in N. America.
Premium wifi, deep freezer, full kitchen, washer/dryer all included in your riverfront Alaskan home.
The space
Private Alaska riverfront cabin with amazing fishing, wildlife, and outdoor living.
The private fishing dock is available during the summer season only, and is stored after the third week in September.
Outdoor recreational use of the property and surrounding natural areas is undertaken at guests’ own discretion and risk.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home except the owner locked closet and the owner vacuum sealer and its accessories in the utility room. (Unfortunately vacuum sealers are broken easily by guests so for your and our protection we recommend bringing your own vacuum sealer to preserve your catch).
Guests also have access to the driveway, fire pit area, basketball court, and foot path to the river. It is important not to disregard the birch branch barriers and use the stairs to maintain the natural habitat and for your own safety.
Guests are encouraged to fish from the private riverbank but on the fishing platforms only. These platforms are available during the summer fishing season. We provide 6 fishing poles for our guests but guests must furnish their own fishing tackle, bait, etc.
There are no other guests on the land during your stay. Maintenance personnel and/or owners may be present on the land doing work as needed to maintain the property.
Other things to note
Located approximately 20-25 minutes east of Soldotna on the south side of the river.
IMPORTANT: This is a true Alaska riverfront wilderness property and is not suitable for guests requiring controlled or mobility-accessible conditions. The property includes steep terrain, unimproved trails, stairs, river access, bluff, elevated fishing platforms, and natural outdoor hazards.
Guests should exercise appropriate caution at all times and children are not recommended.

My work: Scientist, Engineer and Program Manager
Speaks English and Spanish
People are surprised when I tell them I am a scientist and engineer. I enjoy social interaction and meeting new people but I do have a strong geeky side that comes out sometimes. Besides an unquenchable wanderlust that keeps me traveling, I enjoy spearfishing, boating, computer games, dancing, chess, grilling out, and any sport that makes you work up a sweat!
