"The Shire" is a lovingly restored rustic 1928 farm house, located just 12 minutes from downtown Crozet and 20 minutes from Barracks Road Shopping Center in Charlottesville. Located on the Doyles River in scenic Whitehall, we are in the heart of wine country, minutes from Grace Estates, Stinson, White Hall Vineyards, and Mountfair.

The space
The home includes a master bedroom and bathroom on the main level, upstairs bunk room and sitting area, living, dining, and kitchen. Outdoor spaces include covered front porch and rear screened porch, and ample room to explore outdoors.

Guest access
Entire home and surrounding large yard, including access to the Doyle River.

Other things to note
Cell service is limited in our area, though you should be able to access when you connect to the Wi-Fi.

Please note that in the summer, stink bugs are prevalent in this area. There may be some in the house, despite cleaning. If this is not acceptable, this booking is not for you.
