Welcome to “The Shack,” our cozy lake escape inspired by our grandparents’ summer retreat on Massachusetts Bay. This renovated 4-bedroom, 6-bed home sits on a peaceful 1-acre cul-de-sac on the Public Side of Lake Anna.

Enjoy deep-water cove access with a covered boat slip, hot tub, kayaks, and firepit. Dog-friendly with a fenced yard, it offers 2,200+ sq ft across two levels and a short stroll to the dock—perfect for family memories by the water.

Just a 90-second walk from the house, you’ll have private access to a deep-water, no-wake cove on the Public Side of Lake Anna with your own covered boat slip. Swim, float, fish, kayak, and store your boat with ease — this is the calm, family-friendly water guests look for.

After a day on the lake, unwind in the private hot tub, gather around the firepit under the stars, and enjoy space for everyone — including your dogs.

🌅 Outdoor Living at Its Best

Spend your days grilling dinner on the gas grill, relaxing in the private hot tub (open year-round), or gathering around the firepit surrounded by eight Adirondack chairs under the stars. Enjoy friendly competition with cornhole, ladder golf, bottle drop, and basketball on your private mini court.

We provide two adult and one children’s kayak with paddles and life vests for easy lake adventures.

Inside, you’ll find 2,200+ square feet of open, welcoming space across two levels. Enjoy partial lake views from the sunroom and sunporch, an open-concept kitchen and dining area for shared meals, a cozy living room with a large sectional, and a dedicated kids’ playroom.

Upstairs features four spacious bedrooms with brand-new flooring and fresh paint:
• King suite with private ensuite bath
• King bedroom with desk for remote work
• Queen bedroom
• Kid-favorite bunk room (full over full with full trundle)

We provide a sleeper sofa on the main level for extra guests.

Central A/C, heating, ceiling fans, and high-speed Xfinity internet ensure year-round comfort. All six TVs are smart TVs — just log into your favorite streaming accounts.

🛏️ Thoughtful Touches

We provide freshly sterilized linens (bagged for cleanliness), including sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels, blankets, and pillows. Guests may make their own beds upon arrival, or we’re happy to pre-make the King, King, Queen, and lower bunk beds for $45 per stay.

🐾 Dog-Friendly

Bring up to two well-behaved dogs with approval and a pet fee. The fenced yard makes it easy for your furry family members to enjoy the stay, too.

A Few Important Notes

Quiet hours are 10 PM–7 AM to preserve the peaceful setting. The hot tub is private and seats up to six; please no glass. All lake and hot tub use is at your own risk. Parking is driveway only. Maximum occupancy is 10 guests. Additional guests welcome for a fee.

All guests must be 28+ to stay and book unless accompanied by a parent/ guardian.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire property with the exception of the shed and one locked owner's closet.

Important Information About Lake Access & Home Details

The Shack is a lake-access property, with a short 90-second walk down to the dock. The hill is fairly steep, so you’ll be walking uphill on the return. Guests are welcome to drive and park near the boat slip if that’s more comfortable.

There is no lifeguard on duty, and all lake and hot tub use is at your own risk.

The dock ramp is short; for easier launching, we recommend Hunter’s Landing boat ramp, just five minutes away.

All bedrooms and full bathrooms are located on the second floor.
