Welcome to “The Old Fire Station” in the heart of Millbrook village, within the stunning Rame Peninsula AOONB. Overlooking the popular tidal lake teeming with wildlife, wonderful estuary walks and just 5 minutes drive from superb beaches & stunning coastline. Our 1850's characterful cottage recently redeveloped in a contemporary cosy style is comfortable & full of charm. “The Old Fire Station” Sleeps up to 6 and is perfect for groups of 4 or couples looking a special year round Cornish location
The space
The Old Fire Station,(No it doesn't have a pole!) originally a 19th century rope making lofts adjacent to the Millbrook tidal key, where merchant boats tied up and unloaded supplies and traded local Cornish goods further afield. In the mid-20th century, now transformed into workers cottages, the local fire service operated here, housing a Land Rover with firefighting equipment to serve the local Rame Peninsula community.

Kitchen: Overlooking the lake, a compact sunny space with stable door to small enclosed courtyard. Fully fitted with LaVezza coffee station, fan oven and microwave, electric hob/ extractor and is a well equipped to suit most needs
Dining Room: Originally the station crew room has a Contemporary feel with modern dining table seating six. Exposed beams
Lounge: Lovely sunny spacious double aspect room with a 2 and 3 seater sofa & relaxing single chair/foot stool. Exposed stone fireplace /chimney breast and walls. Exposed beams. 43" SMART TV with Netflix.
Master Bedroom: Glass panoramic sliding doors to a Glass fronted balcony with chairs/ lounger. “King Size bed” with memory Foam sprung mattress, . Our gusts tell us... "It's the most comfortable mattress" "Best nights sleep I've had in ages!" Views across the lake. Bedside USB charge points.
Bedroom #2: Double memory foam Bed, cosy room offering a bright sunny aspect. Exposed beams
Bedroom #3: Twin Beds with exposed stone feature chimney breast & beams. USB charge points
Bathroom: Stunning and contemporary stylish space, freestanding bath with shower attachment, shower cubicle & wash basin
Toilet Closet: Adjacent to the bathroom with vanity sink
Outhouse: Outside store for beach gear, cycles etc. Seating with table for 4 people. Bench Seating.

Private Parking for 2 vehicles outside the cottage + additional parking if required. (No access to garage within the property)

Stunning coastal and inland scenery ideal for walks far and wide, wrapped around tidal estuaries, stunning countryside and arresting views across Plymouth Sound to the “Big City” beyond.
Nearby Torpoint is a 10 minute drive with a Sainsburys supermarket, excellent selection of local fast food takeaways and all usual shops and services you would expect in a small town. Saltash is a 20-minute drive and all the large retail park shops will be found including a Waitrose and fast food outlets
