Relax in this recently renovated cottage on an acre, hidden among lush trees. Enjoy sitting on the porch and viewing the backyard's dancing fireflies. The living room contains WIFI, Smart TV, books, games, and DVDs. The kitchen is fully equipped. Within a short distance of Downtown Andrews' antique stores, restaurants, and breweries, and less than one mile from Hawksdene Wedding & Event Venue. Short drive to hiking, biking, and whitewater rafting. Guest have access to Level 2 EV Charging.

The space
The drive to and from the cottage on Pisgah Road allows for some breathtaking mountain views. As you arrive, the warm stone facade nestled under a mature dogwood tree reminds you that things are just a little more relaxed in the mountains. The property sits on about one acre and has neighbors on either side. The front porch lets you view squirrels, chipmunks, and birds while taking in the mountain air. Through the front door, you will be greeted with bright and modern décor throughout the 950 sq. ft. home. The entryway has a place for keys, coats, and shoes while housing outdoor games and more. A gallery wall displays local artwork and vintage Andrews memorabilia. The living room is perfect for a movie night with a 40” smart TV, a DVD player, plenty of DVDs, books, and blankets to cozy up in front of the electric fireplace and heater.

The open kitchen leaves plenty of room to prepare a meal and includes silverware, stoneware, glasses, cooking and baking supplies, spices, and some condiments. A coffee machine with coffee, sugar, creamer, and tea will provide the perfect start to the morning. The bright dining room can seat four and makes for a memorable game night for friends and family. The adjacent pantry holds extra kitchen essentials like a toaster, drip coffee maker, George Forman grill, kettle, and Instant Pot.

The washer and dryer are located in the hallway leading to the bedrooms. To the left is the first bedroom, with a king bed, where soft sheets, fluffy pillows, and darkening blinds let you get a good night’s rest. In case the quietness of the mountains is too much, both bedrooms are equipped with white noise machines in the alarm clocks. The rustic headboard has USB chargers on either side, so there is no need to search for an outlet. Inside the closet are an iron and ironing board, a luggage rack, and hangers. Full-length mirrors are on the back of each bedroom door. Across the hall is the second bedroom with two twin beds. Although the headboards are fixed, the base of the bed farthest from the door can be moved over to make one larger bed. In this bedroom, USB plugs are on either side of the nightstand, and the room has the same amenities as the other bedroom. A foldable wall workstation and chair make a place for writing a postcard, reading, or sending an email.

The bathroom has plenty of light and a large, lit mirror. A heat lamp in the ceiling creates the perfect comfort. Updated fixtures mixed with raw wood shelves create a tranquil balance. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, and a hairdryer will be provided, along with soft cotton towels.

All these small touches have been added to make your stay more enjoyable and memorable.

History of the Nestled Firefly
The cottage was built in 1955 and has been in the family for almost 20 years. As the second generation owners of the Nestled Firefly, Sarah and Greg have fully remodeled the interiors while keeping the welcoming charm they and the family fell in love with.

The Town of Andrews
Andrews is located between Murphy and Bryson City in western North Carolina. The city’s elevation is 1781 feet, with an estimated population of 1686. The area is known for outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, breathtaking mountain views, and countless streams leading to the branches and rivers. The town is also a stop for the Annual WNC Wagon Train every summer.

Guest access
The entire cottage and outdoor space, including the firepit, will be available to guests. Currently, the garage is not included. The second bedroom's closet and the kitchens are locked because they are used to store supplies.

The home key is kept in a lockbox on the property. In advance of check-in, the code is emailed.

The cottage's access road is entirely paved. Parking will be available at the home on the grassy area or gravel in front of the building.

Other things to note
Accessible EV (electric vehicle) charging is available at the cottage. There is a level 2 plug outside the building, right where you park your vehicle. The plug is locked, and the access code will be provided if requested. Cables, cords, and connectors are not included; please bring your own. Hawksdene is a 5-star, award-winning wedding venue located 3 minutes from the Nestled Firefly. We will happily host you if you are a wedding guest looking for off-site accommodations.

No pets are allowed on the premises.

Two cameras cover the house’s entrance points on the exterior and are only for security purposes.
